Skill Reveals - Purifying Flame, Wave of Conviction and Divine Ire

Wtf's GGG's obsession with physical elemental spells now....?
Would be nice to see some environment buffs instead of straightforward power creep. It's not even hard on red maps anymore, unless you gimp yourself.

I was actually pretty hyped for wave of conviction

You guys just threw it into the dumpster

All it is now, is a worse version of freezing pulse

However, casting the skill again ends the current wave after a short time. This means that you can choose to cast the skill infrequently to hit a large area, or frequently to get more damage but less effective range before the duration ends.

Like why would anyone want to use a skill that punishes high cast speed

Great, just what we need. More modifiers to complicate things. I am guessing this is going to be an extremely useless modifier that increases the likelihood of landing a proc on hit and at best it's some additive dmg increase vs being a multiplicative dmg modifier like pen.

So, when is the name being changed to PoN(Path of Nerfs)?

Also, wave of conviction "looks fun" but splitting the conversion ruined it. Had it been a lightning %50 or fire %50 it would have been a potentially decent clear skill and fun. Now it's, at best, an off skill for procs but any decent build won't be using that. The base conversion would have to be crazy to make it worth while.

So one thing that I care about is this "exposure" has 100% effectiveness on boss?
It's not a Curse, so 99% chance that it will. The whole idea behind Exposure is that several of those effects would otherwise stack their full effect on bosses.

No need to guess, it's right there. -25% Resistance is a multiplicative damage increase similar to Penetration, nothing's changed about that.

Literally the whole extent of changes to resistance reduction mechanics mentioned in this news post is that Wave of Conviction won't stack to -50% with Frost Bomb or Scorching Ray because they use the new effect. Absolutely nothing else.
