League Starter Builds for Synthesis

What are you guys going to be playing to start the league off for Synthesis. The typical arc traps, or molten strike? Or is there something being released with Synthesis that would give us other viable options? What are your guys thoughts?

probably arc traps or totems
Most players will go arc trap,bv,worb, brands or the new chaos skill which I expect to be really strong if the recent addition to the spellcasting roster are any indication.

I am waiting for the patch notes before I decide.

However, I do know a few things:

1. No way in hell am I playing melee. Did that in Delve and Betrayal and I wanna play something different.

2. I wanna play around with Armageddon Brand and maybe totems casting Firestorm? I don't know yet. Definitely a pyromaniac theme though.

3. Depending on how soul rend works I might try and do a Witch or Shadow build utilizing that.

As I said before. Gotta wait for the patch notes before I make a final decision.

Good point, Looks like occultist will be the best ascendency with "Void Beacon", "Withering Presence" "Profane Bloom" and "Malediction". Correct me if I'm wrong
Cane of Unraveling: Blight - CWC - Soulrend - Volley - Decay - Added Chaos

Solaris: Bane - Temp Chains - Despair - Enfeeble - Faster Casting
We really need to see the spell rebalance to know for sure.

Deadeye tornado shot will still be viable as a league starter (if your goal is farming maps zoom zoom style rather than killing bosses with your first character), but it's entirely possible that GC, Arc, and BV will finally get the nerfs they deserve, or that Winter Orb will be nerfed a whole one league after its introduction, or even that some dark horse spell will miraculously get buffed into optimality.
im definitely doing chaos damage this league. was going to anyway, but now with the reveal of the new spells and new chaos auras and balances....chaos damage will be insane this league.

i'll be occultist and try to level up with soul rend. look to run soul rend and bane end game...depends on numbers.
if they don't work out i'll be using caustic arrow again, but im too hopeful for soul rend.

bane i think is interesting. its definitely compelling, but im really REALLY curious what "bonus effects" per curse bane will grant. that will be the reaaaal benefit to bane, in my opinion.

edit: nevermind, the way bane is worded on the synthesis page makes it sound like there is other added benefits when cursed with bane, but after reading the reveal it just seems like the added benefits are added damage and duration to bane itself - not like an added effect with the curse itself. that is kind of...lame.

still might be worth using though.

Depending on the patch notes, I might try a templar/minions/holy spells character, or a chaos spell trickster.

I have yet to try any of the brand skills, so that might be an option.
