To all of you ranting about value and pricing, I'd suggest that, based on GGG having built for themselves a fairly successful company starting from three guys in a garage and based on an entirely free to play model, they probably have a better sense of the business and economics of pricing structures than you do...

I'd also suggest that tempering one's judgments and criticisms with a bit of respect and self reflection might be more helpful to both you and to the community than just ranting about the actions of others.

edit: just to add: Yes, alternate points of view are definitely valuable and everyone does bring their own unique perspective (and we're all better off for it), but when you don't know anything about sailing and then start ranting about someone's sailing technique, especially without even a modicum of reasoning or rational thought behind your critique, well, it just makes you look really silly and childish.

Not to harp but, I do not understand why someone would say POE is a pay2win game.

Cosmetics make the game more aesthetically pleasing but, they do not benefit the play whatso ever.

If buying the Armour actually ramped up the health of your character
or
Buying weapon affect actually give you a DPS boost, I'd get it but, these Cosmetics do not do that.

Does buying MTX for hideouts give you an advantage over someone that does not, maybe for the Hideout contest they just had but again, does that change the gameplay? No

If I'm wrong, someone please enlighten me.

I can do that too: The only way you're getting "most" skills in the game to kill all content is having it linked to culling strike on a swap weapon.

Or, you're a trader streamer speed meta cash printer and you can spend 10 exa for each of your 12 jewels and stat stick and perfect corrupts at which point your main skill is essentially an aesthetic and shape/speed choice. (Tornado shot.)

Put simply this game is pay to win. Just not directly in cash. You pay with your soul by learning how to expertly fleece other players, or you pay with submission by hours spent (me) and/or streamer worship.

That doesn't stop it from being fun, I play every day, it's literally the funnest game on earth at the moment, but the delusional defenses irk me.

Not just here, but across all walks of life I'm annoyed when I see people completely disregard reality to defend a social superior. (In this case abusive husband surrogate corporate GGG.) I'm tired of watching people essentially find new and interesting ways of typing "it was my fault, I was late with dinner" from behind sunglasses.

Slaves defending slavery, everywhere. It's breaking my sanity.
