With no more support for Windows XP and Vista, we will also finally retire support for the DirectX 9 rendering mode, as DirectX 11 is fully supported in recent versions of Windows and is so much faster. By not having to maintain support for two versions of DirectX, we will be able to simplify a lot of code, making it faster.

I'm sorry, but 2 years ago when I started playing this game, boy time flies, I had a Windows 10 computer after installing it as an OS. I had to use DirectX 9 b/c my graphics card did not support DX9 even if my computer did. Using Windows 10 would not make it better because if your graphics card does not support DIrectX 11, you get worse performance.

While I do love the performance enhancements, I feel that I had to say this point in case GGG did not realize that DirectX 11 is hardware bound.

DirectX 11 is 10 years old. If you aren't running Dx11 compat hardware perhaps you should consider upgrading, or trying older games. While POE is a "10 year old game", it has been constantly updated. It would appear the goal is not to maintain an old game, but to regularly bring it up to date so it always feels new/modern. This is a fairly common practice in the gaming industry when games have long life cycles. Consider World of Warcraft and the various improvements that have been made over the years to their rendering engine and asset quality.

Windows 7 is still supported by Microsoft. Previous versions are not, and therefore do not receive security updates.
- v3.6.0 in March
- v3.7.0 in June
- v3.8.0 in September
- v3.9.0 in December

These releases will follow the formula we have been using over the last few years, introducing a challenge league, various expansion features, new character skills/archetypes to play and masses of other fixes and quality of life improvements.....Development of 4.0.0 is a massive task and is absolutely affected by our desire to continue to release sizable leagues at our usual pace, so we are taking our time and making sure it’s ready before we decide on a release date.

My end, it justifies my means,
All I ever do is delay,
My every attempt to evade,
The end of the road
And my end....

I'd assume GGG has stats on people playing W7+ and DX9/10 GPUs; but you're almost certainly a very small chunk of the player base. On steam non Win7/DX11 or better systems make up ~95% or 96% of the total (depends on what exactly the 1% 'other' is); and that's with a userbase that has ~2x as many XP/Vista users.
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, weighing all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?
I just hope the game is fixed as well... Last time I forgot when I player, sometime back in 2013. Today I came back and already getting not responding errors, and after I quit once after changing the Shadow setting which blurred and pixelated everything, since I thought that maybe restart needs to for settings to apply, maybe it was some graphics glitch, ended up a no glitch but a bad setting, when it should've been improved as you scale up, instead it downgrades everything.

I had to struggle through intro loading screen being constantly freezing, and if I got further I definitely couldn't get past server connection loading, it instantly stops and I can't load the server anymore, no matter which one I take.
My Windows migration path:

Windows 3.0
Windows 3.1
Windows 95
Windows XP
Windows 2001 Server
Windows 7
Windows 10

And Windows 10 has been the best, the most stable, and the fastest by a huge margin.

Anyone who parrots anti Windows 10 comments without actually running it, are idiots.
