Terms of Service/Code of Conduct

Specifically, my question relates to scripting. I've written a simple script to combat desync.. All it does is /oos every 12 seconds. I have not activated the script even to test it. Is running a script like this allowed? I find typing /oos to be ineffective as stopping to enter text can be more dangerous than desync at times.

I would also like to deploy a script that simply allows for timed repeater-buttons... Such as, instead of holding click or clicking every .44 seconds, I'd have a toggle that would click perfectly in sync with my cast-time...

I can't find the terms of service anywhere... I don't want to cheat but I can't help but to write scripts to solve problems that I encounter...
My words are poetry and thus not subject to spellcheck or the laws of grammar.

Automated anything is illegal
a) The reason the /oos command was recently temporarily removed from the game was because of automated/frequent requests for syncing just like this.

b) The game already automatically handles and is designed to run being slightly out-of-sync, since latency>0. So just because some objects do move upon using the /oos command it isn't always an indication that there is a problem.

c) If occasionally being quite out of sync is an issue just make sure it is your last used message then a simple "enter-up-enter" key combo will sort you out. Again though please do not spam the command.

Edit: In particular I'd suggest you'd read the dev responses in this thread: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/114916/page/1.

And I don't want to promote cheating, but in general i think your principles are sound. however, imo, scripts to deal with technical or administrative issues: go for it; scripts to auto-button-press for combat, etc. = cheating.

edit: to be clear I'm talking "in general" as in "in places other than POE" and am not encouraging the OP to script POE if it's against TOS.

This is your opinion until you've provided a source.

I'm looking for the ToS or CoC, if anyone can provide me a link to these documents it would be greatly appreciated.

Since neither my argument held any sway nor did you look very hard I shall direct you to look at the bottom of the webpage.

Thanks but that's the ToU... pretty standard for any website.. And, while some articles cover services provided by GGG, it does not provide any indication of Terms of Service or Code of Conduct for actually in-game operations... It is a pretty standard Terms of Use for their website and forums..

Oh, and of course it'd be you to ask this.
Another amazing contribution to the community. Wow, thanks Ace!

The Terms of Use covers the use of the Path of Exile software and services [Terms of Use: Lines 1-6]. The limited license granted to you by GGG allows you to download & use the software and gives you access to their services in accordance with the Terms of Use [License: Lines 1-5]. Using any forms of automated software in relation to your use of the software or services is prohibited [License: Lines 5-6].

Do you even read legal speak? ;)
