Pro & Contra
Chieftain: High life reg additional 50% phys to fire which means you are phys reflect proof 35% endurance charge on use a fire skill More damage if consumed an endurance charge recently Berserker: can dicide between insane dmg or defense ez life & mana leech very fast Warcry for endurance Charge generation against bosses and heal not as much life reg as the other acendancy because of the rage degen if you go for full dmg Juggernaut: very tanky ez endurance charge generation against bosses freeze Immunity less damage than Chieftain & Berserker
Ascendancy
Chieftain
At first we take the Ngamahu, because if gives us 50% Physical to Fire, wich means we have 100% Phys to fire with Tectonic slam. Second we take Hinekora wich gives us our Life leech and addtional dmg through the cover enemys in ash on hit. Third we take Tawhoa which gives increased dmg depends on how much endurance charges we have and an additional way to create charges against single target (35% endurance charge on use a fire skill). And last we take Valako which provides us even more life reg and a little more dmg buff for every charge we consumed recently
Berserker
At first we take Pain Reaver because it provides us Life & Mana leech wich helps us a lot. Second we take Aspect of Carnage wich provides us a HUGE dmg boost. Third we pick Crave the Slaughter for some nice rage generation. And last we take can decide if we want go full dmg or defense. If we want DMG than we take Rite of Ruin because this triples our rage effect and gives us stun immunity (tis means you can save 2 points in the passive tree by repect out of unwavering stance). If we want DEFENSE than we take War Bringer because this gives us an additional self life & mana heal (25% on warcry use). We dont pick the Blitz route because we cant crit with Resolute Technique
Juggernaut
First we take Unflinching wich provides us our +1 Endurance Charge and a 25% chance to get full endurance charges instead of only one. Second we take Unstoppable so we cant get stuned anymore are also immune to Freeze and Slow. Third we take Unrelenting wich offers alot of additional defense stats like chaos res. At last we take Unbreakable wich provides us additonal huge defense options. We dont take Unyielding because we want focus on defense power as a Juggernaut
Bandits
Kill all for 2 Passive Points

Detailed & Gem Links
The Facebreaker are the core of this Build. If you can, try to get some with Attack Speed Corruption (this is also better than any Curse Corruption) Gems: Herald of Ash -> Herald of Purity -> Ancestral Protector -> Blood Rage As Helmet i prefer the Deidbellow. The warcry bonus on it feels very good. You can also take an Abyssus if you prefer a little bit more DMG. But its not needed at all. Gems: Shield Charge -> Fortify -> Blood Magic -> Faster Attacks We take a rare shield with as much life and INT as possible. If you can hit some all resistances, you can also save 2 points in the Skill Tree. In best case the Shield has an open Prefix to craft the Chaos DMG mod on it. Gems: Arctic Armour -> Flame Dash -> Enduring Cry The Loreweave will be our Body Armour. Its by far the best Body Armour for any Facebreaker Build because it offers alot of DMG and Defense (Max res 78% [they nerfed it down from 80% to 78% in 3.6]). IMPORTANT: with 3.7 there are alot of new Melee Support Gems, so these setups may change during the league. just look from time to time and test on of the new support gems by yourself. Gems: Tectonic Slam, -> Melee Damage, -> Elemental Damage with Attacks, -> Increased Aoe (Concentrated Effect) -> Multistrike -> Elemental Focus If you dont want to switch every time you can also just play with Concentrated Effect all the time. OR you switch the Increased Aoe (Concentrated Effect) setup with the Pulverize Support. This way you will have a constant great area of effect with good dmg BUT not as much DMG as with Concentrated Effect! Our Boots will be the Redblade Tramplers. These offers us some nice defense and offence stats. We also need the Fire res on them if we play Berserker or Juggernaut. As Chieftain you can also pick some other boots like the Death's Door, wich offer some nice additional Bleed Immunity. In here we have a special CWDT-Setup wich provides us up to -45% fire res to our enemys on proc. Wave of Conviction: -25% of Highest Ele Dmg from itself (in our case fire damage) Combustion: -20% fire ressistances if the wave proc the ignite from the gem (50% Chance)
Ingame Screenshot
Gems: CWDT -> Immortal Call -> Wave of Conviction -> Combustion Our belt will be a Stygian Wise with the Resistances we need. If you can afford, try to get some nice dmg mods on it too. Together if a good Abyss Jewel in it (res, dmg & life) its by far the best belt you can get. For the Rings & Amulet we take some with high adds # - # Physical damage to Attacks and if you can afford with high elemental dmg too. Try also to get some life and resistances on it. Together with the new +1 to minimum Frenzy Charges we also have them up all time (wich is great for Bosses). Our Abyss Jewels should have the highest Flat Physical Dmg roll as possible (max is 5-8) together with a good life roll (i prefer 31+) and attack speed. We take a Red Dream jewel for constant Endurance Charges generation while mapping and place it near the scion start. For the Flasks we take one Life Flask with Bleed Immunity, a Wise Oak, Lion's Roar & Atziri's Promise. Our last flask is up to you. I prefer a Silver Flask together with Freeze Immunity.

The Pantheon
Major Pantheon I prefer the Soul of Arakaali with 5% reduced Damage taken from Damage Over Time. You can upgrade this Soul with some nice additional effects like 30% reduced Effect of Shock & Shock duration and 25% Chaos Resistance against Damage Over Time. The Soul of Brine King is a good alternative wich provides us 50% reduced Effect of Chill on You if your captured Nassar, Lion of the Seas in the Reef Map. The Soul of Lunaris gives us up to 8% physical reduction against groups of enemys. The upgrades from this Soul arent realy helpfull at all. The Soul of Solaris gives us up to 6& physical reduction against single enemys. You can upgrade this Soul with some nice additional effects like Take no Extra Damage from Critical Strikes if you have taken a Critical Strike Recently Minor Pantheon I prefer the Soul of Shakari with good Chaos reduction which works very well together with the Major Soul of Arakaali. It provides 5% reduced chaos damage taken & 25% reduced chaos damage over time taken while in a caustic cloud and makes you immune to poison after Capturing Terror of the Infinite Drifts in the Desert Spring Map. The Soul of Abberath because i like to be Unaffected by Burning Ground. The Soul of Gruthkul is a good alternative wich provides us up to 5% additional physical dmg reduction. The Soul of Ralakesh is a good alternative too with 25% chance to avoid Bleeding and 25% reduced Physical Damage over Time Damage taken while moving if you dont use the Death's Door Boots. The Soul of Ryslatha can help you in the Labyrinth with Life Flasks gain 3 Charges every 3 seconds if you haven't used a Life Flask Recently.

Remember: The best we can get is the attack speed corruption.
Leveling Guide
Skill Tree Parts 1 - 93
IMPORTANT: This is the Skill Tree from the Berserker, it should show you the way through the tree, but if you play Juggernaut or Chieftain the Skill Tree may be different, so take a look at the normal Skill Tree Section first to know the difference ;) Part 1 We go straight to Resolute Technique and pick up booth 30er Notes (Dex/Int) Part 2 After that we go the upper way and pick all interesting notes. Dont forget the little Warcry wheel near the 30er notes we picked before. we should also now be able to pick up our Ascendancy and pick up the first step which i mentioned in the Asendancy Section. Part 3 Now we go down the seccond Warcry wheel and also pick up the Unvawering Stance (note: as juggernaut you dont need the Stance). Part 4 After that we go into the duellist area and pick up alot of nice offence and defence notes (note: as Chieftain & Juggernaut we also need to pick up the Mana/life Leech note). We should now be able to pick up the seccond Ascendancy Step. Part 5 Now we go the upper way to the scion area and pick up the other usefull notes like alot of resistances (note: if you can afford try to get a "The Red Dream"-Jewel for a smoother Endurance Charge generation against many enemys at once). Now you should also be able to pick up the third Asendancy Step. Part 6 At last we fill up the other open spots like Jewels and the additional dmg notes behind jewel slot in the upper left and pick up the last Acendancy Step as soon as we have done the Uber Trials while Mapping. Note: With the last points until 100 you can pick whatever you want. I prefer filling up the Scion Life Wheel. DONT look at the Skill Gems inside the items listed below they may be different from the Build Guide! The this build is designed around the Facebreaker, so you will notice a huge difference in dmg as soon as you pick up these (Note: you need "Adds # to # Physical Damage to Attacks" on your other items to scale the DMG from the Facebreaker). The level requirment for the Facebreaker is lvl 16 So a good question is what you should use until you can wear the Facebreaker (lvl 16). I dont prefer a certain weapon so its up to you. You should just prefer a weapon with high Physical Damage. A good early Melee Skill Gem is Molten Strike together with Ancestral Call Support. As soon as you get the Facebreaker you can choose your prefered UNARMED Skill Gem until lvl 28 when you can use Tectonic slam after beating the General Gravicius in akt 3. List of Unarmed skill Gems Next to mention would be some good early game Items, I prefer these: Wanderlust Boots for Freeze Immunity and good Movement Speed. A Tabula Rasa for a free 6L until you get your Loreweave (or a cheap rare 6L with a good Life roll). As Helmet i would start with the Goldrim and later take the Deidbell/Deidbellow Our Rings would be some with a high "Adds # to # Physical Damage to Attacks" roll with some resistaces and life. Same for the Amulet. As Belt i would suggest a Meginord Girdle wich gives you a good phys roll together with some attributes, res and life.

Hey, I remember seeing your jewelry crafts on reddit the other day, glad you posted your build!
If I may ask, how did you go about crafting rings and the amulet and approximately how much currency did you spend? |
|
" i bought steel rings and amulet with essence crafted phys + t1 elemental dmg. after i found some good with not too much affixes i tried to annul them, which resulted in ~ 20ex loose of hitting the wrong mod (failed a lot). the craft itself isnt expensive. 2ex for multicraft. 1ex for the frenzy craft and some c for the other My Builds & Hideouts: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2083383 Hideout Community Discord: https://discord.gg/B2xQkmf Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/user/Dralanorr Twitch: https://www.twitch.tv/guggelhupf Last edited by guggelhupf on Jan 23, 2019, 3:58:20 PM

Been playing somewhat similar build, just wanted to share some insights.
Currently Iam able to run determination and hatred both at the same time, so i have a lot of additional armor and attack power. I think it is pretty important to invest those points in mana reservation nodes to get these two auras running at the same time. this item is pretty nice to have for any facebreakers build it is not cheap but it gives "free" curse and adds damage to attacks. Another thing to note, rings and other items with "Determination has increased aura effect" options. Also this item. With rings and this belt you can increase determination effect by nearly 100% that gives a lot of additional armor. this shield is God damn OP... Cant imagine this build without a shield like this. Sure it is expensive but it gives so much... Another interesting options and these two items give a lot of energy shield replenishing, one of them recharges ES thorugh attack damage another one through blocking so basically your ES recharges either way. Also you can take passive that converts your life regeneration to Energy shield instead, combined with stone golem it gives ~100 ES regeneration each second, works very well. This ES option has considerably less armor compared to more beefy or similar armor. At the moment Iam level 85 and the biggest struggle for me now is Health pool, I have like 3k health and ~27k armor. Not sure how to increase health furthermore, belly of the beast probably, but it doesnt give more attack damage, although with tectonic slam I have ~110k dps, still might need more further in to the game. | |
