Sup, exiles. Here is the story: this hideout is an underground base of operations. It is rather small, though it's only the top floor of the large facility, which was built to provide resource supply for mapping, syndicate investigation and other exile activities. As you all know, first we met Helena, she showed us the transmutia device, which happened to be electric-powered,and we had to find ways to provide a sustainable power supply for it. Then we met Zana, and the first thing we discover about Zana's map device is that it's incredibly power-consuming. Building a power-generating facility based on abandoned sulphite excavations was an obvious solution to these problems. Niko gladly agreed to help us with this task, and here we are.

Everyone here does some kind of useful job, let me explain all master's roles in the whole system.

Niko helps us to organize constant supply of sulphite, azurite and lazurite, all these minerals are used as resources for transmutia device and as fuel for electric power generators. Karui slaves dig large amounts of minerals on lower levels of the facility, then all that stuff is lifted up here with cranes and delivered in mining carts via old railroad transportation network discovered by Niko himself:

Here all minerals are being melted to become a valuable fuel; this elctromagnetic crane manipulates heavy carts full of azurite, though karui slaves are still needed for this job to be done properly. Melted compound is stored in huge tanks hidden behind stone walls of the facility; here you can see small tanks that provide fuel for transmutia device and for several powerful generators:

Power cables connect map device and its power-consuming machinery to the generators, this oldschool-style machine produces large amounts of heat, that's why we need vent hatches under those portals:

Here you can see the experimental device which is intended to replace old mapping machine, Zana is working hard to make this thing up and going. This new device is planned to be much more energy efficient: it will not create portals, but will work with mental projections of new worlds directly in exile's brain, and all the loot will be created in a cpecial chamber working similar to 3D-printer:

Einhar here is standing in delight and admiration before the mighty machine, and we do not chase him away because we actually need him here. While the experimental device is not ready yet, we need Einhar to supply us with stupid beasts. There were Belka and Strelka doggos before Gagarin went to space, you know. So the beasts are transported via railroad, then Einhar himself puts them in experimental electrocells in the device. These experiments on animals one day will lead us to bright energy-saving future

And here is just a quiet working place for all the theorycrafting that we need for saving the world. Alva's studies might help us find forgotten technologies that helped Vaal to power-up those huge lightning traps in Atzoatl, she also is trying to figure it out, how queen Atziri managed to get those four big shiny delightful hands of hers:

Jun is obviously working on Syndicate investigation, but also she is great at finding fresh Karui slaves to work on low mine levels. They die too often, and her assassin headhunting HR talents are very useful for us here. When she meets any difficulties, she uses Navali's help - working in pair, they can find literally anyone on Wraeclast (and ppl tend to start hiding from us since the rumors spread that many of our slaves live no longer than a week of hard work in mines. That's nor true, of course):

So, that's it. The only MTX used here is the fireplace, i just like that warm lighting effect very much.

Thanks for your attention, exiles.

Nightfall's Retreat
Glacial Hideout

Hello. First time posting in any competition.

Theme around this hideout is pretty simple. A place you can go to be alone.
We all need some place to retreat to.
So, why not do it in The Nightfall ?
______________________________________________________________________________

Below are some of the words/lyrics/poems that inspired me to build this hideout!

Spoiler
"And as the shadows grow taller
Swallow all the night.
I'm left alone in darkness
With no one by my side."

"And as the shadows give way to light
Grow and thrive.
Every day must lose to night
Fade and die"

"Footprints on the snow covered by the frozen rain from the north.
A trace leading into the dark, grand isolation.

Cold is the air to inhale, cold is the heart impaired.
Glacial blood runs in your veins, a pitch-black and frosty ichor."

Below is the link to my Imgur Album with some screenshots. I'm new to this kinda thing so be gentle please. :)

If someone's somehow interested in seeing it in game, you can PM at any time. Glad to share. :)

Verdant Bathhouse

He did not know how long it had been, nor how many creatures had fallen at his hands. All he knew is that he couldn't go on much longer. As he pushed open the doors to the bathhouse poised to tackle whatever this cursed world had to throw at him next, the exile steeled himself for the continued endless slaughter.

However, the exile was not met by another horde. The exile could not understand what was before him. Nature had taken hold of the room, creating a sanctuary free from the clutches of evil. The exile fell to his knees, blood covered his clothes and he was no longer sure if it was his or that of his enemies. Overwhelmed by a sense of peace and sanctity, the exile removed his armour and washed away the blood, sweat, and tears covering every inch of his body.

The exile decided to settle here, and create a sanctum for himself and those he deemed worthy.

Over the decades to come the exile gathered countless treasures from across Oriath and filled his new home with them. He continued to bathe in the waters of the bathhouse, which seemed to have strange healing properties. However, although the water washed away the physical damage, the toll the endless fight had taken on the exile pushed him to insanity. He began to let more exiles into his sanctum, keeping them hostage under the guise of providing protection. The exile considered himself a God and expected to be revered as such. Any exile who dared to oppose his views was maliciously tortured and executed, put on display as a message to all who enter.

A once beautiful, verdant, space that represented absolute tranquillity is now a temple to one man's endless madness.

Stay at your own peril.

The Verdant Bathhouse.

The Theme

The theme of the hideout is to essentially follow the story above. The hideout was once beautiful, and tranquil. However the insanity and obsessiveness of one man is slowly turning this sanctuary into his own lawless temple. You can see hints of his insanity by some of the artifacts and relics he has taken pleasure in collecting, as well as the mutilated corpses and exiles attempting to hide from the mad, self proclaimed, 'God' (highlighted in the video).

Final Words

I hope you like the hideout! This was an absolute blast to make and I will be designing many more in future (once I can get enough favour).

Hideout Name: The Dragon's Nest

Showcase video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dIqrSARrjVo&feature=youtu.be

Theme/Idea: Built a hideout that goes well with the Dragon portal and pet. I don't actually have any of those so just pretend the fire frog is a dragon :P
Made it for balor because he actually has those.
There's lots of grassy shit coming in from upstairs, and firery shit coming up from downstairs and in the middle the dragons have made it nice and comfortable for them selves.

Also there's a room for Einhar to do his Einhar business in...... like write mighty poems.

Edit: here's the link because i'm special and forgot it https://drive.google.com/open?id=19LNNia4m6E3zpReAPvI1QEu5dPN5lkk9

This is my hideout /made on a budget thanks to my solo play and laziness to farm old&new masters/.
I call it just "(my)piece of Oriath".

Spoiler
Extra info:
-even if i had more favor points i would keep it like this- simple, with some symmetry and everything needed close enough /exception is WP to stash&map-device to avoid unlucky guests in my maps/;
-i plan to make cosmetic changes about outdoor part of hideout and crafting bench maybe -once i get couple millions of points again and max master levels to see all decorations available or just replace some of the statues with bigger ones because i love those new statues;
-IIRC only the little pirate treasure left from map device is a mtx, everything else is what you can get by reclaiming hideouts decorations and buying decorations from masters;
Slow down for a minute to enjoy the beauty around us.
Luxurious Hideout | Mysterious Vaal Letter

Everything started with worldwide whisper about a mysterious vaal letter and a captain owning it. All descritpions were very vague...
But the murmur was powerful enough to catch the attention by the syndicate. Especially Tora and Catarina wanted to find the letter.

If you want to learn more about the story, continue reading. Otherwise here's the imgur-album with even more images and a video link:

Video: https://youtu.be/WY8EXzngvJ0

Spoiler

After collecting more information about the captain, his ship and his route. They set up a camp near the coast and waited for their victims.

Tora struck in full force. Demolishing the ship's front. While trying to avoid even more damage the ship and its crew got stuck on the dangerous rocks near the coast.

Now Catarina's bone creature attacked the ship's back. Tearing apart most of the persons on board.

Unfortunately for the syndicate all effort was wasted. They couldn't find the desired vaal letter...

Years later, the new masters started an expedition to the ship wreck.
Spoiler

Time passed and wore down the ship. The letter was uncovered... the captain put it under one loose wood plank in his cabin.

Zana tries to understand what happens years before. Maybe she can find another weakness of the immortals...

Navali acts as overseer. Seeing the future might help.

There aren't many supplies left. Flies everywhere. Urgh!

Niko tries to understand how the corals were able to found that quickly. They are already taking over part of the ship.

On the other side of the ship Alva and Einhar discover the secrets of catarina's bone beast. It left green slime all over the place.

The crew's cabin wasn't especially comfortable, but it seems like they were able to read.

Each commander had at least their own place to rest. Having their weapons nearby, they were always ready to fight...

Helena covers the way back. She dropped some reliquaries here and there, trying to hoard too much...

Including testing and a lot of trying out different decorations and combinations this hideout costed me about 20 million favor.
All decorations are available for favour.
