20 Quality of Life Changes EVERY Exile needs and wants!

Hi party people!
I've compiled a lists of 20 Quality of Life changes which really should be in the game and trade site. There really isn't an excuse not to implement those as they streamline the gaming experience and make Wraeclast a better place to live in!
Thanks for reading and feel free to comment if you want!
Cheers!

(and please, when quoting, don't quote the entire thing!)

Gameplay Convenience

Ability to input RGBA color code & custom images for Minimap Icons

- The current situation: Lootfilter minmap icon codes and images are very restricted.
- Proposed change: Allow the input of RGBA colors for minimap icons and allow the use of custom images with transparency as icons.
- Benefit: More customization for icons and ability to match the item label colors of the loot filter.

Ascendancy Plaque

- The current situation: After completing a Trial of Ascendancy the plaque which displays the completed or missing Trials is shown, but the logic behind it is strange: When completing a new Trial the plaque is not shown. When completing a previously completed Trial, the plaque is shown.
- Proposed change: Only display the plaque after completing a new Trial, otherwise just drop the Offering to the Goddess without displaying the plaque.
- Benefit: The plaque doesn't need to be closed each time a Trial is completed which previously already had been completed.

No Blue items from enemies of level 67+ (except flasks)

- The current situation: Enemies in maps drop way too much loot, most of it being complete trash.
- Proposed change: Change enemies in maps to never drop any blue quality items and reduce the amount of low tier white drops.
- Benefit: Less clutter on the ground, less label collision when displaying all items, less generation of items no one ever picks up. Tbh, the need for loot filters is symptom of a really bad loot system.

Cheap currency drops aggregated

- The current situation: Low-value currency items drop from chests or strongboxes in individual stacks, making it tedious to pick up.
- Proposed change: This is one thing Diablo 3 actually made better: It picks up similar items when clicking on one of them. Alternatively to picking up all items at once, it would help if all of those ID scrolls that just dropped would drop as one big stack instead. Or: Don’t drop the items but instead collect them (as seen in Incursions or delves) and have the map boss drop them all at once (stacked).
- Benefit: No need to click dozens of times to pick up quasi-trash.

Items identify when picked up

- The current situation: PoE adapted one of the most annoying things of Diablo and forgot how even Diablo over time acknowledged that it was a bad mechanic: requiring to manually identify all magic items.
- Proposed change: Magic and Rare items stay unidentified on the ground but get identified after they are added to the inventory. Unique items need identification each time to retain the possibility to sell unidentified uniques. Or add a Deckard Cain-like character.
- Benefit: Less time spent identifying items, which is not exciting and much rather a chore.

Indicator on maps wheter they are completed or not

- The current situation: By looking at map items, it is not possible to tell if the Atlas completion (+bonus) has been achieved for this map and the players have to find the map on the Atlas itself to check.
- Proposed change: Add a tooltip text indicating completion status on map items.
- Benefit: Quicker way of finding out about completion status of maps.

Shorter Trials of Ascendancy after completing the Uber Lab

- The current situation: Players have to re-do the entire Uber Lab trials in maps if they want to get additional Offerings to the Goddess.
- Proposed change: Either provide a shortened version of the trials for each completed trial or remove trials after all trials have been completed.
- Benefit: No one likes to run trials and this change would make trials more streamlined, resp. remove the showstopper.

Trade divination cards in regular trade interface, throw in multiples

- The current situation: Divination cards need to be traded one after the other either at Tasuni or Navali. When trading in lots of cards, this is a lot of clicking work.
- Proposed change: Allow players to “sell” multiple full stacks of divination cards to any vendor and to receive the rewards which will be displayed in the merchant trade window.
- Benefit: Quicker trading of several full divination card stacks at once.

Hotkey to drop items quickly

- The current situation: To drop items players need to manually drag each item from their inventory, having to confirm the drop in some areas.
- Proposed change: Add a configurable modifier key that allows a single click on items to drop them on the ground. If items are destroyed (in town), provide an undo option to revert the destroying.
- Benefit: Quicker dropping of trash items in the inventory.

Chests and containers open when hit with damage or being nearby

- The current situation: Maps contain many crates, barrels, chests and other containers. Many of them are destructible, others need clicking to open, which greatly slows down gameplay.
- Proposed change: Either make all containers break open when hit with damage or change them to open when a player is nearby. Personally I’d also reduce the amount of containers per map by half and double their contents instead to make them feel more significant.
- Benefit: Get contents of containers without having to micromanage clicking them, especially in container-heavy maps.

Alternate Leveling - gain rewards as you progress

This one is a biggie!
- The current situation: Each character has to go through the same process of questing from act 1 to 10. This is quite boring after some time.
- Proposed change: Add an alternative way of leveling after completing all quests with one character. The alternative leveling mode will open random maps which match the character level. Leveling rewards (such as Books of Skill) will be awarded every x levels.
- Benefit: Less tedious leveling, less running around, more focus on what players really want: killing stuff.

Skill Changes
Changes to Golems

- The current situation: Golems mainly serve as flexible way to obtaining a buff by sacrificing a gem slot. The benefits of having a golem buff are substantial and most builds will want to use a golem as buff source. The low survivability of the golems is an annoyance since frequent recasting of the golems is required.
- Proposed change: Add a support gem or variants of the current golem gems which change the golems to be immortal while at the same time removing all attacking capabilities of the golems. Their buff becomes aura-like, their damage is neglectable anyways.
- Benefit: Players who only use golems for their buffs will not need to recast golems frequently.

Skill gem level up + hotkey

- The current situation: A notification will be displayed in chat when a gem is ready to level up. The level of the gem isn't shown though.
- Proposed change: Change the notification to include the level a gem can be leveled up to. E.g. Cyclone is ready to be leveled to lvl 20! Also add a hotkey to level up all gems which aren't being ignored (after right-clicking them).
- Benefit: Players know when they can use the 20% quality recipe on gems at a glance and can level up gems by pressing a hotkey instead of the small interface buttons.

Trading and Player Interaction
Trade Site - Ignore Items

- The current situation: The trade site offers the functionality to ignore players, sometimes it would be good to only ignore specific items though.
- Proposed change: Add a button next to the items of the search results to hide this item.
- Benefit: Previously seen and unwanted offers can be hidden from search results, making it easier to identify potential items of interest.

Add Restricted area in HO for visitors

- The current situation: With the current trade system, players usually visit the hideout of their trade partners to exchange items. The trade partners often are left to worry what kind of mischief the players might do in their hideout.
- Proposed change: Add a landing zone for players not in friend or guild lists, which they can request to leave, but are otherwise restricted to when entering hideouts of other players. The owner of the zone can also kick people from their hideout.
- Benefit: People can’t steal your portals or cause other kind of mischief in your hideout.

Add title to trade sites so you know what you are searching for

- The current situation: When using the PoE Trade Site with the Live Search feature, it often is unclear what the search is searching for when several Live Searches are open and no results are being displayed.
- Proposed change: Add a text input box to add some additional information to a search. The text of the input box will be displayed in the <title> of the html page and also on the trade page itself.
- Benefit: Players can set a reminder what they are searching for in specific tabs, which makes it easier to handle several active live searches.

Consistency & Annoyance

Sort pre and suffixes, keep order when detailed item description is shown

- The current situation: The order in which pre- and suffixes are ordered on rare items is not consistent to the order displayed when showing the detailed item description.
- Proposed change: Introduce a fixed order of first the prefixes, then all suffixes on rare items to make them consistent with the detailed item stats view.
- Benefit: Easier comparison and consistent tooltips.

Remove Prophecy Banner or move it down

- The current situation: Upon completing a prophecy, the large prophecy banner is displayed very prominently on screen, while not providing any real benefit or being necessary at all.
- Proposed change: Shrink the banner and move it to the bottom of the screen.
- Benefit: No more banner which is in the way of the action.

Tier indicators at crafting bench consistent with crafting tiers

- The current situation: When crafting at the crafting bench, the displayed tiers of the enchantments range from 1 (lowest) to 3 (highest) (with exceptions). On items T1 always is the best tier and this is inconsistent.
- Proposed change: Change tier numbering or add tooltip info to clarify the ranking of tiers.
- Benefit: Remove uncertainty about which tiers are highest and add clarity if the picked tier is the highest available tier or not.

Add equivalent to Diablo 2’s -skiptobnet

- The current situation: To play PoE, players first need to start the game, skip the intro, log in, select character, load town and then load the hideout. This should be shortened for “advanced” players.
- Proposed change: Add a console command like Diablo 2 (-skiptobnet) had, which is added to the desktop shortcut in order to directly skip ahead to either the character loading screen, the hideout or town. Maybe the commands could be -skiptoCharSelect, -skiptoTown (selecting the last character), -skiptoHO
- Benefit: Quicker starting of the game, no loading of pointless towns.

This is the only thing which needs to be changed. I'm pretty sure current behavior is a bug.

Everything else is your subjective wish and definitely EVERY exile not need it.
retired from forum because of censorship and discrimination
(also poe2 bad)
Guys, of course not everyone absolutely wants and needs those changes proposed, use your brain, this is just an attempt to create a catchy forum thread title.
What's with the negativity? Even if all of those changes were implemented, you certainly wouldn't be off worse. So chillax.
seems you want a different game.
look for it.
What about removing lab completely? Lab is megastupid.

People often take offense when you misrepresent your opinions as theirs. Your catchy title is rude and people are responding accordingly.
Rank Hillock up to 3 and you can get 28 quality of life.
