[3.5] Occultist Vortex/Cold Snap ES/CI - Deathless and Safe Uber Elder and T16's

So guys I also managed to kill my first ever Shaper! Got 11k ES and around 900k shaper DPS according to PoB.

Actually it was quite boring. I could even survive the teleport hit stuff with around 1k es remaining.
Needles to say it was a deadles run ;)

Man I love this build. Snagged some more upgrades for nearly every piece since my last post and found some decent gloves from a drop plus my gems hit 20. T16 mobs are dying just from the initial vortex hit. Bosses I only use 1 cold snap, in fact I am barely using cold snap at all.

I have to say, thanks to the skin suggestion, because @ 91 and decent ES rolls on everything else I am still 10.5k ES - I was 12.5. So yeah you do lose quite a bit of ES but 10.5 is plenty if you're careful. My damage went up by like 40% - mind you I was using increase AOE instead of swift affliction.

I know the next big upgrades are like -9% res on helm, and spider on the belt but boy area they really more, the helms I am seeing are like 7ex.

I have now a 5ex budget - found a void battery and sold it today which was awesome. What should I change next, make the leap to the spider belt? Also how are you getting 3r 1g on boots or gloves? Took me forever to just get 3 red on gloves. It's blocking me from running elighten atm since I am using that green socket with curses for phase.



I am trying my hardest but RNG hates me to get the triggered socket chant unveil so I can craft a weapon with more mods already. It's only 3 chaos to do but any weapons crafted with it they charge like 20-30chaos more than they should and one base weapons with subpar mods.

Your Belt is actually not bad. It seems like you missed that bestiary orbs are back! You can just buy the monster which you need to craft the aspect of the spider yourself. Last time I checked it was 60 chaos. The only thing is that you need an open suffix.

Also note that aspect of the spider grants a 15% MORE damage to bosses. Compared to your 11% increased damage craft it is way better!

A Helmet with 300 Es and -9 Cold res is craftable by yourself. Just look up the craft guide. As a tip if you hit a 300Es helmet without -9 cold res then just sell it for 1 ex and you have plenty of more tries to get an upgrade for you.

Hi. Im looking to buy my ES armor, and I remember about a shaper mod "Recover X% max energy shield on kill". Should I invest into this line? Is it useful? Or should I go for maximum ES i can get for my exalts ?

Iam staying at lvl 91 and dont know if iam going to Fingers of Frost (6 passive skill points) or the shorter way (3 psp) to Holy Dominion?

Thanks for the responses. Yeah I haven't got really into the thick of crafting this league I think I have to. It's really annoying I cannot find the trigger spell unveil yet.

I also bought the Spider beast, it was around 50 Chaos. Be sure that someone help you to kill it, the first beast was onehitting me cause i thought it will be easy, wasnt prepared.. But if you loose the fight, you loose the 50 chaos..

Was bored yesterday evening and thought wtf, just give it a try and started crafting new Sceptre.

After ~ 150 alts I came up with

T2 cold damage over time as single stat

I did a beast imprint and regaled for shitty 63 accuracy
anulled for:




So overall pretty solid and cheap craft.
Saving up currency for multi craft now.


Is there something I can do with my imprint? :-)


Edit: anyone here able and willing to help with "kill Magaera with 10 active Molten skeletons" ?

Where are we getting endurance charges from to proc Immortal Call?

How would the best possible Sceptre would look like?
