Getting a +2 Shavs is gonna be the end of me. I refuse to pay for high ticket items even though I can afford it. I bricked 2 already and have 3 more waiting in my stash, but finding Alva, let alone a T3 corruption room, is damn near impossible.
Pretty nice 20% damage boost though. Anyone know of trustworthy altar sellers? :/ I see you also went back to Unnatural Instict. Think it's worth the high price tag? Unfortunately that one can't be farmed as easily. |

I don't think UI is worth the high price tag unless you're swimming in currency and don't really have anything else worth getting. At 4-5 ex, yes it would have been worth it. 15 ex... Probably not. The main noticeable advantage would be the extra AOE bonuses you get. Build of the Week 14

BAD ENGLISH INCOMING *WARNING*
There's a +2 shavs for 22ex checking here now. just save and buy man! I paid 31 for mister Inva i think xD. (had about 40~45 ex migrating from SSF selling stuff :3) So, i played a month in SSF, got lucky with a few things, got an early shavs and really wanted to play something low life, first time (when i linked). Took me sometime to link, then also wanted to play something different then my usual totem bois, and chose cold snap/vortex....also first time i wasnt following any guide, it was fun. Decided to come to trade because i coulndt find the freaking spider to craft, also to see how far this build can go. This topic was definetly helpfull, since im new with low life, es, and occultist xD. My personal notes: INCREASED AOE After changing from shaper farm(20runs+ of no luck) I play with Increased AOE gem. Feels really bad without, dmg is more then enough for me, im not doing big bosses, so I never swap. PHASE RUN I dont see me playing without Phase Run. Feels too slow? I tried. That means im not using arctic armour. How good is that actually? Phase Run seems even better for delve... DELVE I didnt play much last league. Got 24 challenges and left. The brazilian servers are a complete joke for longer then a year, and I was tired. Right now I want to delve mostly, and t16 for xp. Pure breachstones feels like cheating. So question, is Temporal Chains better then Enfeeble? TLDR Considering I want to farm t16 and delve mostly... Arctic armour > Phase run? Temporal Chains or Enfeeble? (The mod with action speed resist bothers me) edit: Flask effect nodes, 8% each....i played with it a bit and felt good, speedwise at least. Anyone tried? Posting an updated gear set since I have changed a lot of my gear and tree around and wanted your opinions. Gear: Main changes were dropping Vertex for a sick vortex helm due to having chaos res from Purity of Elements watchers eye. Also changed rings and neck from last time. Still looking to get a sick double res belt like you have. Empower VS Conc Effect: I still find that the Inc aoe/conc effect combo is better than the slightly lower cooldown of empower so I have stuck with that in my vortex links. Helm Enchant: I went with vortex damage over cooldown recovery because I found that the cooldown is short enough as is. If you have a reason for going CDR would love to hear it! Clarity Watcher's Eye: I am getting close to having enough currency for it, but I am not sure that I have the gem slots to include another aura to my build. Not sure what I would drop for it. I might actually drop the orb of storms in the weapon to allow for clarity to be used if I can get a Clarity ES, Discipline Recovery Speed, and Purity if Elements Chaos Res Watcher's eye. Passive Tree: I dropped a lot of the lower damage nodes (according to POB) for all of the %ES nodes available. As a result I am now at 14.5k ES and still have comparable damage (Maybe 10% less overall). I enjoy the changes a lot. Ended up switching to Unnatural Instinct and love it! Would be an awesome upgrade. Big changes: I have been thinking about trying an Atziri's Reflection with Coward's Legacy to get LL benefits while respeccing to CI and picking up a 9k ES Chest. I think losing the +2 on Shavs is too much of a damage loss as well as all the damage on belt I would lose. Would also have to change auras around to have enough mana. " Your English is fine don't worry :) Hey RaloP! I remember you! Hope that Shavs has been serving you well! Yup increased AoE is a good QoL gem for mapping. If you're not doing big bosses you certainly don't require that much damage, so good decision on that swap. Phase Run would be a perfect skill if it didn't deactivate every time you used a spell. It depends on your playstyle. I tend to spam vortex as I run, so Phase Run doesn't really cut it for me, and I just rely on my flasks (I have 2 quicksilver flasks) for movement speed. If you like Phase Run you can probably replace Arcane Surge with it - I would definitely rate arctic armour over phase run. Temporal Chains versus Enfeeble is a personal choice. I like Temporal Chains personally because it fits in well with the overall theme of the build, i.e chill effect/slow, and it synergises well with Frigid Wake (increases the duration of freezes). You are however of course welcome to use Enfeeble. Both are defensive curses and are strong in their own right. The flask effect nodes are actually 12% per point because of Might of the Meek. Given that your priority is delving/mapping it would definitely be worth giving up some DPS nodes for them. Build of the Week 14

" Belt I actually have another similar belt that I may swap to if and when I manage to get a shaped Hubris helm with a suitable enchant to craft on. Despite that, I would still rate your belt higher than mine. Your belt is ideal with the nice tri-damage mods, high res and Aspect of the Spider crafted. I wouldn't upgrade it for anything else at this point. You also wouldn't really want your aspect of the spider on any other item as the gems you socket in that item may affect the mana reservation cost. The only reason I have Aspect of the Spider on my boots is because I crafted my boots, was considering exalt-slamming it but chickened out and crafted Aspect of the Spider instead. Fortunately, the gems I have socketed in my boots do not affect the mana reservation, but you can see how restrictive it can be if you want to change gem setups. Helm Thats a very nice helm! With regards to the helm enchant - I think if you're happy with the the cooldown as it is thats fine. I personally like my cooldown as low as possible (mine is 0.78) because it improves the fluidity of gameplay, but its just a matter of personal preference. If you want to get a different helm enchant, I would advise re-crafting on a different helm rather than re-enchanting your current helm. I don't think its worth the trouble. Clarity Yes, unfortunately Enlighten + Purity of Elements taking up 2 gem slots complicates things a little. Orb of Storms or Arcane Surge would probably be the 2 worth dropping. With regards to Orb of Storms - is there a particular reason you like having it in? I find Incr. Crit Strikes in place of Orb of Storms much more reliable for proccing EO, and Orb of Storms is unnecessary of EE when you already have Storm Brand. Yup Unnatural Instinct is a great QOL jewel! If only it was not so prohibitively expensive... I'm glad I got mine early on in the league. Atziri's Reflection and Coward's Legacy I considered the possibility of going for that route before committing to the Shavs route. My personal opinion is that its not worth it. A perfect 30q Atziri's Reflection grants about 260 flat ES, and Coward's Legacy provides about 20 flat ES. With a 900 ES chest, that would be about 1180 flat ES. A perfect Shavs (361 ES) a 500 ES shield and a Stygian Vise (with good ES rolls on belt and jewel) would provide approx 960 ES. That's only about 220 flat ES difference. Granted, Atziri's and Coward's Legacy give alot of INT which further boosts ES. Overall, that would probably translate to about 1.5k extra ES, but you give up the corrupted +2 (and potential for corrupted +4) as well as a tri %dmg belt which is a huge DPS loss. Additionally, Atziri's needs 130 dex which in other situations would require an extra suffix mod on gear or an extra skillpoint. In your case however, assuming you don't change any other pieces of gear, it would probably still be ok as the extra dex req. would be offset by Coward's legacy. I think your having 14.2-14.5k ES is a great amount of ES to have especially considering the layers of defense your character has, and it would be a shame to give up >30% DPS and an aura for an extra <10% ES, especially considering how much of a gear overhaul you'll need and the extra cost of it all.
