[3.5] CheeQu's CoC Ice Nova Assassin - Up to 7m Shaper DPS + Amazing Clearspeed [In-Depth Guide]

hi CheeQu, can you please take a loot at my build?

https://pastebin.com/0mDSTAdU

i wanted to tun haste/blood rage, but now i read in your guide i should not go over 3.6 aps with cyclone strike. with both i have 4.5 says PoB.
Without 3.54. so it would be better to run without them? what should i take instead?
Just curious, how tanky is this build?

Or is it one where you aim to delete the boss before the boss sneezes at you?

If you have cdr on belts or boots then the guide is wrong. You should be aiming to get just at or under 7.5aps. The aps tooltip already accounts for the two hits per attack. Blood rage is excellent to run along with arakaali pantheon (with queen) as if you have cwdt-IC setup you double your lgoh and leech rates.

oh i didnt know that it does that in PoB. then everything should be fine with my setup i guess??

While cyclone does hit twice per attack BUT the tooltip aps already accounts for this.

So you guys are all gimping your dps by not trying to hit just under 7.57 aps with >14% cdr on belt or boots.

I hope I’m wrong as that would allow me to drop so many ias nodes!

I’m on an aero plane so can’t see your gif - what’s it show/prove?

Also, the next cdr threshold is I think 27% - is that right? And if so, couldn’t we get a huge dps bump if we can hit that threshold and get the aps up?

Tooltip doesn't account for 2 hits per attack, pob also doesn't account for it.
proof: On pob select cyclone and do Average damage x Attack rate and the result will be DPS/2.

The next breakpoint is 99ms (3 server ticks), which for CoC requires 52% cooldown reduction - not possible in PoE as of now. So anything more than 14% doesn't offer improvements.

I try to make it as tanky as i can with the current version, still not as tanky as some other builds but it's the best I can do with CoC. With better gear and fortify as 6th link it feels quite safe for me overall. In budget gear tankyness will suffer a bit more.
