[3.5] Suck's First Level 100 Winter Orb Elementalist Guide! (BSC) Uber Elder/Atziri

Shaper down, deathless.. really enjoying this build.

Just curious, what map did you guys take for the T16 elder orb? I know this build is well rounded for any map type, but is there any one in particular it excels at in terms of clear speed and sustainability of the map? I am thinking maybe Armoury but I'm not sure yet.

Can I keep the crit chance or do I have to annul it to craft the other mods?
If I can keep it like that what should I not craft from the scepter in the guide?

If you want scepter like this you need to annul crit chance and you should because crit chance is worthless.

Then you craft

-multimod

-Gain (10–11)% of Non-Chaos Damage as extra Chaos Damage

-increased Cast Speed 10% chance to gain Arcane Surge when you Kill an Enemy

-increased spell dmg 43-50% / non chaos dmg 6%

-Double dmg

Ok thanks, I wasn't sure and annuling is really a stressing process haha
Can someone please help me understand the arcane surge mechanics & how it benefits the build? I haven't used a caster before and I want to understand how it works. I tried looking on the wiki and didn't find as much as I had hoped.

It gives you more spell damage and cast speed, after you spend number of mana.
It is really good.

Less AOE means less overlapping hits. You want as much overlap as possible especially for bosses. If you don't find cold pen useful, switch in added cold damage.

When the 10% chance to gain arcane surge procs, it will proc whatever level your gem is, right?
