I think you changed my idea for my league starter at basically the last minute. I love blade flurry. Was the first skill I tried to ever build on my own when I started playing and before I knew people posted guides lol

First, I want to start this reply with a big appreciation post for Rahsaan, for keeping this build guide constantly updated throughout the leagues, ever since... I think Betrayal ? So more than 5 years of dedication!


Now, for the second matter at hand. I did a speed through acts to warm up for league launch and I have 2 things to mention.

1 - The build really shines post act 10. Using it in acts without leveling gear is relatively slower. It's doable, and the fun aspect pops off on bosses, but from my leveling experience in Affliction, I cannot recommend leveling through with it for league mechanics that have a bunch of mobs that require some speed, due to having to be stationary for the channeling.

2 - Alternatives to leveling. These are objective to my own experience and should be taken with a grain of salt.

Cobra Lash - pick up early, can carry to late game. Can transition to BF in white Maps
Cyclone - Becomes available pretty much at the same time as BF. Faster through acts, but leaves itself more open and is more squishy. Don't recommend for HC.
Frost Blades - most damage through acts. Also suffers from "have to be still to do damage"
Spectral Throw 4link + Dual Strike 6l - I say 4l and 6l, but it's more or less to orient that Dual Strike should be your main damage clear while Spectral Throw is oriented for clear. Reminds me of a realllyyyy old build I once did, so it holds a bit of a nostalgic feel to it for me. Pretty decent, but not a miracle build by any means.

I would've tried to test leveling with bow and transition into BF, but not enough time.

Yes, Cobra Lash and Frost Blades are ok for league start.
Surprisingly, Holy Flame Totem is a decent secondary skill in the first acts. I will update the League Start section.

We've yet to find an optimal setup to do the 10 acts, one that can transition smoothly to BF.

Just finishing up act 10, was there an atlas map for this build? I read it over and didn't see it, appreciate everything so far!

A map for the Atlas tree ?
No, I didn't show any, because it is not related to the build.
Generally, I do a full Harvest tree with scarab nodes. I also like Expedition and Blight.

The build is not made for Ultimatum trials as it lacks too many immunities. It's not great either to farm Legions.
Other than that and Uber bosses, it can tackle whatever you want.

Huge thats what i figured, most builds are like that but ive played a few that had specific routes for the build so just wanted to check!

Currently using this Tincture :


I can sustain 16 Mana burn stacks with 2-pts in Mana Flow near Duelist (removed 2pts from the Blind cluster).
It's easy to get 30 Rage, which amounts to 25% more DPS. A nice burst of dmg.

Unholy Might, levelling with shrine buffs, removal of Ancestral totems, War Banner, Incorporeal anointment and Tincture.

3.25 update : The Nightshade

* Now using this unique Tincture, which fits the theme of the build perfectly :



Price : start at 1c in league, 50c in Std.

Inflict 3 Withered per hit. Max stacks in 5 hits.
Previously, I've used an Oakbranch Tincture, which grants 3 Rage per hit, so 10 hits for max Rage.
And 15 Wither grants a lot more DPS (+75% dmg) than max Rage (+25% dmg).
Last but not least, inc Blind effect grants more Evasion (+3% in my case).

* Withering Touch support has only 25% chance to inflict a Wither stack. Replaced it with Momentum support, to gain some speed (since Bino is a bit slow).

* Also, I want to mention that we can do Physical Reflect maps, thanks to perma-Unholy Might.

Hello! I finally reached level 99! Also I've been min maxing the char too, testing new things! Loving it so far: Blood Rage, Vaal Haste, Poacher's Mark (it's OP for bossing!), Phase Run. While mapping, the clearing is very good, almost everything explodes. I invested in frenzy and power charges, it's easy to sustain them. I tried to scale phys dmg with cold (to freeze) and chaos (to bypass ES).

P.S I'm thinking of replacing Enduring Cry somehow, it got nerfed a lot (now does nothing if you are not surrounded by enemies). I get Endurance Charges only by stealing them with the claw hits. Which skill do you suggest? Self cast Frost Wall required too much intelligence and it was awkward sometimes lol
