The base chance for a unique to drop is likely around 1 in 500 or something like that.

Your 160% IR would change that to 2.6 in 500.

It is quite frankly a little cuckoo to expect to see the difference in 2 maps.

It is meant to be a long term investment. You will, on average find more uniques than someone with 0 IR. But in any sequence of a few maps, randomness could push it either way.
