Bug Reports (Path of Exile 1) - Shaped version of map won't open as Elder (Mud Geyser) - Forum

Currently running into the same problem with my tier 7 orb even though obtaining my tier 6 orb with the same shaped map method worked just fine. Elder influence is present on the atlas but not within the map itself, therefore no memory fragment drop after boss kill. Running the normal version of the map kept the influence inside the map and is removed from the atlas upon completion as expected. This is not a bug, this was a change made when we fixed an exploit with Guardians. In order for a map to contain the influence that's shown on the Atlas, the map you run needs to match what's on the Atlas. For example if your Pit Map on your Atlas has Elder influence and you run a SHAPED Pit Map, your map will not contain the influence because it doesn't "match" what's on the Atlas. I used a shaper orb on Laboratory prior to having the elder occupy it. Currently, I am unable to get elder to spawn because it is a shaped map. What options do I have? I can't get elder to spawn in the map he is occupying. I have tried a regular lab map purchased by another player and a shaped map I have found. A common case is that you might have Purifier left to kill, due to the symbol for Purifier being Yellow it can be easily missed as it can sometimes be mistaken for a yellow map.
