Core Supporter Packs Available Now!

These are some tasty milkshakes indeed. I might just cut the crap and do a straight purchase of the Crucible set instead of building up to it like usual.

To quote Doug Funnie: "I want everything, with everything!"
Ohh damn it I though I can upgrade from a points purchases that is why I was waiting for the new packs. I didn't liked the old one and I really like the new armours.
So u can upgrade only if you buy some points when the supporters packs are active and this bonus will not apply on the new packs?
Its the first time i might actually consider maybe buying a 2400 points supporter pack, WHY GGG WHY..... You better be transfering all current MTX to Path of Exile 2 when you release it otherwise well otherwise i'll clap my hands and yell no very loudly, yes! fuck im buying it

My sense is PoE 2.0 will just be 4.0 release. According to Rhykker, Jonathan said 4.0 was designed to compete with Diablo 4 so if that's true and that's their intent, 4.0 must be pretty god damn big and basically be PoE 2.

I'm very disappointed in these supporter packs, the announcement post implies that there is a supporter pack for fans of each type of armour but that just isn't true.

Why can't you sell each armour set as an individual pack? I only like the Empyrean and Crucible sets but there's no way I can afford to buy them, nor would I if I could.

Why should I pay $240 to get one armour set I like and 2 that I don't like?

If I could get either the Empyrean set or Crucible set on it's own in a $55 pack then I wouldn't hesitate to buy one, as it stands I won't be getting any of them.

Here we go again...

Folks, you’re paying for the points. Everything else that comes with the packs is free.

While mostly, that is not quite accurate
I bought Crucible, 4800 points. The points themselves if you bought them at $20.00 a pop would be $240, so, I paid double by your train of thought.
That extra 240 for all the sets is fine by me but not all can afford it, and Empyrean and Crucible are the only ones I wanted as well.
Luckily with all the points, I was able to get a few of those 420 point armor sets, as well as a few pets, some wings, and some hideout decorations I wanted and still have over 3000 points left for future purchases.
It works for me as I want to donate to the POE cause but, it was a bit steep.
IMHO there should have been options to just buy the ones I wanted.
Of course, I also think and hope down the road there will be options to buy point packs in larger numbers then 50, 100 and 200 because I would have to buy 2x 200's and a 50 just to get one of those 420 sets and it seems weird to have to do 3 transactions outside of supporter packs on things we may not want.

What?

$20.00 = 200 points

12 * $20.00 = $240

12 * 200 points = 2400 points

$240 <> 4800 points

$480 = 4800 points

$480 for Crucible pack gets you 4800 points. As such, you bought 4800 points, and EVERYTHING in the pack is FREE.

Everything in all the higher tier packs is FREE. The first two lower tier packs, everything in the packs costs you $5.00 (i.e. 50 points)

I just pulled up the calc and 4800 \ 20 = 240
Missed a step, my bad

If you are like me and this is the only game you play over the last few years, sending bulk $$$ over to GGG/year is not that expensive if you were to play 1 or more games throughout the year. If you are an avid gamer trying out different games that could certainly cost you; perhaps even more than these supporter packs.

This game requires so much grind I ain't got time for any other game.

No real math necessary.

Spoiler
ok I did drop like $40 on Divinity OS2 at some point but then I got the definitive edition free
