That one corrupts your item while Hillock 28% doesn't.

Well okay then just corrupt it AFTER all manipulations. When all links and stuff are there.

Well okay then just corrupt it AFTER all manipulations. When all links and stuff are there.

Then you discard any future possibility of altering it after.
Bestiary recipe is ok, but i would rather let my expensive gear stay more "universal".
If you ask me if 2% quality is fair price for corruption... i would definitely say no.

It can be a fair trade if we are talking about min-maxing, but in that case corrupted implicits would probably be a much better option of min-maxing a character.

Especially considering that, if we are talking about selfcrafting, there are even better thing to do. Make it 30% with "perfect fossils" without any future nuisances.

P.S. Everybody talking about hillock, because he is the most simple and cost-effective solution.
Conversely bestiary's recipe failed to be neither "easiest and cheapest", nor "most expensive and top at min-max'ing". Making it basically almost useless.

Yes man I see what you mean but i dont play often and for me it is the problem EVER reach the end game even and of course I dont have many characters I play only with 1 so for me it is fine to have corrupted one. But I will see. Anyway as I mentioned I dont play much it will be difficult for me to go through the league of the betrayal desk to make Hillock blabla it is too hard for me.

Anyway I would still like to see what others might say about my regalia. If they say it is good I will put 2 ex.

P.S. I also have a recipe of splitting the item into 2. If I do this will it also split the sockets and links or they will be identical?
Finally fossil crafted an ok Vaal Regalia:

Not good enough to replace my current one so I'll probably sell it and keep trying for something better. And I don't have enough balls to use an annulment orb, lol.

When i thought that previous build guides were great i find one even greater. This is one of the most complete build guide i have ever seen if not the most complete.

Even if i am playing this build for like 6-7 iterations of it up till now i cant stop myself to re-read the build guide every league and i always find that it gets improved and the info updated according to the changes of the build.

Never seen such passion and commitment to promote and sustain a build over many leagues like Kelvynn is doing! And because of this we should all be grateful!

Even if the build is not a simple one by reading the build guide every new player can play it and fully benefit of the power and completeness this build can offer. If you have a question 100% sure it has its answer inside the guide!

I think i will never be tired of playing Kelvynn's Whispering Ice when there is such a dedicated and with very good mechanics knowledge person like him that sustain and adapt this build for a long time now so we the "newbies" to get the full satisfaction from playing it!

P.S. Just one minor finding - if you play with Solaris pantheon i found out that in deep delves (and also in normal maps) ColdSnap in CWDT setup seems a bit better than Vortex. It has higher duration, higher effect of chill (19%), can give you Frenzy charges on kill and also you can benefit from Vaal ColdSnap version of it that is a nice DPS boost and also a free Frenzy charges provider!
The only downside which is the cast time (Vortex is instant) is negated by beeing used in a CWDT setup(if i am not mistaken).

Actually for everything else except Uber Elder and Aul, i use both ColdSnap and Vortex. ColdSnap in a CWDT-Immortal Call setup and self-cast Vortex linked with Arcane Surge and Flame Dash instead of Frost Bomb(i don't know why i don't like too much this skill, maybe because of its delayed explosion which most of the time doesn't even affect packs of trash - they die before the explosion occurs).

But for Uber Elder primary and Aul secondary i still use together with ColdSnap Frost Bomb instead of Vortex for its -cold resistance de-buff and because Vortex in Uber Elder fight for example it seems kinda useless (bosses move a lot, you are not on top of them most of the time and Vortex can be cast only under yourself).

And because i have mana reservation issues when using Purity of Ice (Uber Elder, Aul) i switch Bonechill from AA to Cold Snap in CWDT setup instead of golem and still benefit from some more cold damage granted by Bonechill (15% instead of 30%)

Thanks! :)

About Cold Snap: I considered it, but it looked worse than Vortex on paper. I went and tested it to make sure. But it only confirmed my initial assessment:

- Cold Snap does significantly less DPS than Vortex.
- Cold Snap has a 3 sec cooldown.
- Frenzy charges generated by Cold Snap are very hard to sustain. You need to constantly get hit and kill mobs in the Cold Snap area. But it eats those charges to bypass the cooldown, undoing its own good effect. Even in deep delves I couldn't sustain frenzy charges via Cold Snap.
- Stronger chill effect doesn't really matter since everything around is chilled by Icestorm, and the mobs that actually hit you are chilled by AA for more.

Hi Kelvynn! Could you please help me decide about my vaal regalia? I wrote a question here few posts back.

Dragon Mantle, Vaal Regalia:
Quality: +20%
Energy shield: 316
Item lvl: 83
+35 Inteliigence (tier 5)
+100 to maximum Energy shield (tier 1)
10% increased Intelligence (tier 1)

Shall I put 2 ex or it is not good enough?
If in case I get lucky enough to have an Unnatural Instinct drop for me, where can I slot it so that it's most useful for this build?

I found one way at the start of the league so it was only a 7ex sell, ex were still ~80c at that time. Did give me a nice jump. That int corrupt stuff can be expensive, not sure how much gear you already have.
