{3.10} Speaker for the Dead | The Mass Minion Summoner | League Starter, Leveling Guide 💀

Greetings all. Loving the build so far. I am just coming back after years off and this build is just crushing the initial content. In act VI right now. I have a question on sockets. Using the google doc I see these two setups for 4 sockets:

Charged Dash - Cast While Channeling - Ball Lightning - Lesser Poison
Green > Blue > Blue > Green

&

Skeletons - MPD - MD - Vile Toxins
Blue > Red > Blue > Green

Do I need those sockets linked in that specific order or is it enough that you have the colors needed and linked, but not in order? Many thanks for any information.

Gem order isnt important
Oh boy... well now I regret wasting all those chromatic orbs :(. Thanks, next time I will just stop when I have the colors I need.

I figured out the answers to my own questions, sorry. :p Love the build!

Stupid questions..
Helmet. Maybe i need to buy another with those options?
Boots, what you mean about capped?
I wanna do Belly of the Beast. I already bought him with pretty good stats. What is cheapest way to make him 6th slot with full links?
Thanks for info, rly appreciated.

Hey man no stupid questions, it's easy for "veterans" to forget how dense and cryptic this game can be for newcomers. Hercanic's guide is great, but it's huuuge, so it's normal to understand parts and bits a few at a time.

- So yeah, the +2 minion gem levels + minion damage helmet is usually something you buy. For example: https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Legion/E7nmzZh5

- Capped resistances mean you have at least 75% in Fire/Cold/Lightning resistances, even with the -60% total malus you get from completing Act 10 of the storyline

- I understand you want to do Belly, but if you're new to the game, I would not recommand it. Having the 6 slot on that chest with the right colors is gonna be hard enough, and 6 linking a unique chest is also very sensitive to huge amounts of bastard luck. You could instead first buy a simple 6 links with already the right colors, with as much life as you can (base trade link for the 6 link: https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Legion/pPYypbT0). Once you have that, you can work your way a more "endgame" setup with the belly, cause it's gonna cost A LOT.

Good luck :-)

Thank you for your advices. Now in have around 40 chaos, and 1 exalt. Should i buy smth expensive?

I'm not an expert on this build, just started levelling it in Legion after playing it some in the 3.6 end of league event.
Here are a few pointers.

1.
- Change your weapon. You can get something super cheap that will remove your mana reservation issues, and boost both your Zombies and Herald of Agony: https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Legion/qD0mKltg
- Get a lvl 3 empower for your Zombies and Herald of Agony, for your new weapon: https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Legion/pEk5u0
-> This will add +4 levels to your Zombies and Herald of Agony gems, because there is +1 from the weapon, and +3 from the Empower lvl 3 (which becomes Empower lvl 4 with the +1 from the weapon)

2.
- Upgrade your helmet to include +2/3 to minion gems, and included Minion Damage: https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Legion/j2QGRWHX
-> If you can have that and resist+life as well on the same piece it's great, but it will be more expensive
-> This will significantly boost your skellies/vaal skellies for single target

3.
- Upgrade your chest for a 6-link with some life and maybe resists: https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Legion/zX7LJOs4
-> This will smooth your clearing

4.
- Change your tree / get a stygian vise to have a few additional jewel sockets (look at the guide for the tree changes you can make), and get a few jewels with taunt/blind/hinder on hit for your minions:
https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Legion/zX7LJOs4
https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Legion/ny04qvS0
https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Legion/j260rkuX
-> If you can have life on these jewels it's of course great
-> This will enhance your survivability and also your minion's

5.
Check your elemental resists in your hideout after these changes. If they are lower than 75% (not capped), update any remaining gear slot (belt/Amy/boots) to ensure they are capped, or even better over-capped (109%) to ensure you still are capped at 75 even on maps that lower your elemental resistances (by applying the Elemental Weakness curse on you).

Good luck

Upgraded Helm, ring. Now i have 68 lighting resist, 75 fire, 75 cold, -37 chaos.
I already have emprower gem (he dropped) should i lvl up him, cause he is lvl 1 and dont need to buy lvl 3 or 2?
I will do new weapon soon.
About tree, i will buy gems also. Just need some time to find proper jewels.

You can level the Empower yourself if you know you're gonna play the character a lot. It takes a VERY long time to level.

The advantage of levelling one yourself is that if you reach lvl 3 with the gem, you can try corrupting it to make it lvl 4 (which gives another +1 lvl to your Zombies/HoA).
Heya, just wanted to say this build is the best I've tried. I've done the meta bladestorm/cyclone builds, I've done the meta EDC Trickster but this one blows them out of the water in terms of fun and rivals them in clearspeed IMO, at a fraction of the cost. You've created a new summoner for life, even just after act 10 I was able to clear tier 11 maps with relative ease in less than 50c of gear. Most importantly though, it's been really fun! Thank you.
Hey folks.

Other than some minor play way back in Abyss league, this has been my first season of playing Path of Exile. This build has been fantastic for me. I've never had so much fun at pixelated 15fps before.

First, some more modification ideas:

Like some others here I'm occasionally running Cyclone instead of Charged Dash. Delving is much easier, the Legion is safer (less time spent standing still in front of a rare mob waiting for Charged Dash to charge up so I can bleed them), and it's easier to control the direction of my spells. It also procs bleed more reliably.

I'm also running an Adds # to # Lightning Damage to Spells mod which lets me use non-lightning spells to proc Elemental Equilibrium. My favourite is Soulrend with GMP because the homing projectiles will seek out multiple packs of mobs without any real effort. This also lets me upgrade Soulrend to 20/20 for a little bit of extra damage, whereas levelling Ball Lightning to 20 makes Elemental Reflect a bit more annoying to deal with.

I have also experimented with removing GMP for Fortify. Cyclone procs it instantly and safely which feels really nice. Besides, I was hoping for an excuse not to run Shield Charge on one of my characters, experimenting a bit with Phase Run + Enhance Support + Increased Duration Support. Unfortunately, Shield Charge is every bit as OP as everyone says it is for Phase Run to be a great alternative. Fun in Delve though.

Removing GMP also made me look for other spells to use, and if you add lightning damage to spells your options are vastly increased. Arc is a contender, although it some times fizzles early. Lightning Nova was more interesting, especially with Cyclone. Bladefall was a fun experiment, but you do have to aim it and frankly I have better things to do with my time than point the cursor at my enemies.

But my favourite non-GMP spell is Dark Pact. I don't even care that it hurts you unless you have skeletons out. It's a decent sized AOE around you, and if you do have skeletons out it will link to all of them, often hitting the entire arena. Cyclone bleeds and grants Fortify, Dark Pact procs EE and instantly fills you up with Virulence stacks, and your minions melt shit. Good times. Not as good as Soulrend/GMP, but a fun and viable alternative.

Second, a question:

Like I said, I'm new. Would The Scourge be a possible option to use as a weapon?

In yellow maps (and even early tier red maps) my Zombies don't die much, and I have to imagine that The Scourge adds a fair bit of DPS to my Spectre/Phantasm setup, and therefore clear speed. What am I missing? Half a second of Cyclone against a group of mobs -> 70% extra damage sounds good to me.

Third, any suggestions for obvious improvements in my build?

Here's my character if you want to take a look for yourself. Here are some things I'm missing:

• Level 4 Empower
• A weapon that has added accuracy/added fire support/etc
• Top tier ~40 life/minion boosting jewels for the passive tree
• A nutty +1 spectres body armour worth more than my apartment IRL

Which one(s) is the most important upgrade?

I only have ~6000 life, which is probably more than enough for most of you, but the Guardian of the Minotaur keeps having me for breakfast. It's hard to read his tells when the arena is covered in 74 minions. He covers the arena in falling rocks that instagib me, and then does his burrow attack which instagibs me. Do I just need to git gud, or am I missing something? I've had zero problems with any of the game's content until that bastard came along. =)

Fourth, here are my boots that I made.

I don't have any questions about them; I just thought you should know.

@Hercanic, thank you for posting this build. It's been great fun, and an absolute killer build for cheap. Fantastic league starter, one that I intend to keep playing. ♥
