Double-check that y'all don't have HoA linked to a support that increases its mana reservation? It's been working fine for me.

Well that happens because we didn't read completely the guide XD.

Simply it's the claw or the sword because that some gem lv support added to the weapon took us more mana reservation than others such as Faster Attacks, Elemental Damage with Attacks, and Increased Critical Strike Chance.

FWIW you don't have to actually use pastebin yourself; you just copy/paste the link into the relevant bit of PoB. (Not that you were the one asking that question, but still.)

That figures it out then, I keep learning in path of exile it seems... Doesn't matter much since I can do all content fine with what I have except for some 1 shots from time to time due to low(er) life. It seems Legion doesn't have the gear I need on sale yet... or is way to expensive...
Same goes for claws, there aren't that manny on the market (yet) with the stats stated in the build. So it seems I have to use this in the meantime.

Hi, quick question. Thoughts on using Minion instability, replacing GMP in the CWC link with raging sprit and using the new legion amulet Tavukai?

Yep, Support Gem affixes work exactly like normal gems, meaning they apply a mana multiplier. That's why Herald of Agony's mana reservation became so high, it had too many support gems linked to it.

@ Tklaebo: The Path of Building (PoB) link is the second bullet point under EVERYTHING YOU NEED in the "I Accept" spoiler box.

@ Farsancio: Pastebin is just a free website that stores simple text, like an online Notepad, and you don't even have to create an account or anything to use it. It's great for sharing long strings of code like Path of Building code. PoB directly generates and accepts Pastebin links, too, so you don't need to copy the code from Pastebin at all, just paste the link.

It's bad for us. Damage is way too low. We would need to make significant changes to our build for it to work.

CwC alternates between multiple spells. It does not cast them simultaneously. So every 0.35 seconds it will alternate between a Ball Lighting and then a Raging Spirit. That means half the normal Ball Lightnings, and one Raging Spirit every 0.7 seconds. Raging Spirit's cast time is 0.5, so this is slower than manually casting them. With a base duration of 5 seconds, increased to 6.5 from the amulet, you'd only be able to get out 9 spirits.

Since they detonate by time (~3-4 seconds to reach low life) rather than on a target, they are likely to uselessly explode in transit instead, or their target might be killed by our other minions before they finally detonate. This means for clear, their inefficiency wastes damage potential.

Speaking of damage, without supports like Minion Damage and Minion Life their explosion damage will be limited to our increases and EE.

Plugging a L21/Q20 Raging Spirit gem, 80%/100% damage/life to simulate the amulet, and a 28%/28% damage/life weapon craft, into our PoB setup, we get:

12,876 Shaper DPS per Spirit * 9 spirits = 119,554 total melee DPS

However, they'll degen to low life within 3-4 seconds, so you'd only have 4-5 spirits out before they start detonating.

* 5 spirits = 64,380 total melee DPS

12,755 Life * 33% MI = 4,209 base MI fire damage * 1.1 EE * 1.12 Frenzy Charges * 5.52 increased damage = 28,625 explosion damage * 1.43 spirits per sec = 40,892 MI DPS after ~3-4 seconds of ramping up.

= 105,272 total DPS against a single target if you can maintain channeling (lower than if they didn't have MI). At the cost of your amulet slot and GMP. 105k would equal ~2% more damage for us. We'd get more out of 15% increased minion damage (=~3% more) than this amulet. The one passive point spent on MI would be better used on a dangling 10% damage or 4% attack/cast speed minion node, even before considering the danger MI represents to Spectre, Zombie, and Skeleton survival.

Wait a minute, we both need gloves with elder poison affix and added chaos damage to poison properly?

My current gloves gives poison and with HoA it is at 60% poison chance for the lightning balls. My claws adds some phys damage too (not that I was looking for it).
That let's me build up poison stacks when needed, but you are saying it will be faster with just having a jewel with added chaos damage?


Anyway, no real problem dealing damage as of lvl 72 and tier 3 maps.

Any advice on breaking out legion mobs faster?

I might have found something that works (completed 150 legion monsters challange with ease)

I replaced charged dash with cyclone (just for fun) and ball of lighting with essence drain (lvl 20) (for some healing -> + shaper unset ring with life on hit by spells...) Ball of lighting has much bigger AOE keep that mind -> and works better with elemental equalibrium!

I also have immortal call and PHASE RUN on boots instead of hatred and generosity. And I use flame dash (still bugged though -> frost blink aslo works), faster casting & culling strike on shield.

Just testing the endless possibilities of this build :D
