We are likely to have small bug fix patches in future but most of our intended significant changes to the league have now been deployed.

You know you still need to remove sulphite, right? There's being stubborn, and then there's being GGG.

Player retention during Delve has been excellent

I bet.
(2-3-2019) Buff underused skills (3.23?!)+ selfcast, stop nerfing defense, build in threshold jewels (3.23?!), implement D3-style looting, add death log + MTX preview, actually rework flasks, stop balancing around the .01%, unnerf Harvest, ADD NEW WAYS TO LEVEL, finally implement Loot 2.0
So i have a month and a half to get 6 more challenges done, not bad.

Can we get a teaser of what the next league's COLOUR will be? we've had:

-Red (Incursion/Sacrifice of the Vaal)
-Purple (Prophecy)
-Blue (Delve/Harbinger)
-Gold (Perandus)
-Green (Abyss)

Are we going to get a new player in town, or a return of an old champ?
No events at all?

Forget flashback, this was your perfect chance to make a voided event with no sulphite costs (or if you need sulphite to exist to trigger Niko's appearance to enter the mine in the first place, every single path down to depth 6000+ could've had a cost of 1).

You say player retention is high but virtually all of my guildies (140 person guild, which the leader regularly purges inactive accounts from at league start; maybe 20 accounts are alts of other members, so 120 real, active players) quit before the 1 month mark (2 weeks ago).

I was excited to come back for an event. Any event.

But it's obvious that I can't possibly complete even 12 of my remaining 16 challenges, for the admittedly really cool portal. I'm throwing in the towel. It's not fun with this much gating.

The 1-month event is supposed to be when you ungate fun, at least a little bit. Did the team just start hating fun for real?

Delve league is amazing and I hope it stays in the game. The whole idea of having a journey and a goal to aspire to is just great for people who want to feel that they are constantly progressing in the game! It would be a nice alternative to maps by the way. The whole idea of grinding maps to do delves is ok for the league, but in Standard I'd like to be able to buy and trade Azurite and Sulphite. That way players who don't want to do delves would sell the stuff to those who rather explore the Azurite Mine. I've been playing maps for far too long and know them too well, I'd like to have a viable alternative to them.

Also: the 4 socket resonator should be more common after the league. Never seen one drop for me (am almost at depth 300), but could buy it right way to get the achievement. The problem is, I won't do it because I'd see it as a personal defeat. And there is no guarantee the crafted item would have amazing stats. No idea why they have to be so rare!

Also: Rooms like Whispering Gallery (Breach room) should appear more frequently after the league as well. You find breaches in almost every map but have to grind your way to them in Delve to find nothing of value there. You do it just once to get the challenge completion.

Idea for new mechanics: I'd love to have the possibility to drill a hole to connect tunnels which would otherwise be to far and expensive to travel to, because you have to go around. It should be costly, of course, but still cheaper in regard of spent time and sulphite.

Whatever the next league will be like, I hope it won't have the time pressure in it. I hate playing against the clock even if it is somewhat hidden behind flare duration.

this is an interesting aspect. I think more things should have a timer actually. zana missions with time limit, lich fights, having to kill abyss monsters quickly so you get a trove or abyssal hole in the ground (I forgot the name) are a lot more exciting than running around aimlessly and just hitting whatever you see. mapping would be a lot more exciting if every instance had some kind of mini-mission (not all of those should be about clearspeed though). in fact, you could design an entire league/expansion about that!

Lol, I would uninstall PoE if they add more of this. I hate time based Zana Missions. After a long working day and housework, I want to chill and and have fun and not get stressed by a clock ticking. Man I was sooooo happy with the Zana changes, now I can always ingore her timed missions.

even though the timed missions are unbelievably easy...?
since I have no hope for significant game design improvements in this game I am officially done with Path of Exile. done for good

How about making Standard worthwhile again?

I'm still not going to start any leaguey thing, but as long as I can play the game for fun in Standard (perhaps even with random goups, because there are other players, too ...), I consider paying money for microtransactions^^

that is the dream man. this game could be otherworldly good if only it had a permanent mode done right...

huh? I thought every league was purple. no clue where you have seen those colours.

I was actually hoping to come back for the flashback.
Glad about the player retention thing though, at least someone's still enjoying the league.

Reading the comments, I appreciate GGG not giving in to players complaints. It's not even complaints anymore, just childish accusations. Dealing with this lot, these people deserve every good thing they have in their life.
Is it crossbow or is it assault rifle?
Good player retention this league? Well I don't have the metrics but this sounds laughable to me.

For starters I've stoped playing last week cause this league while great for making currency is absolutly atrocious for build diversity. Everyone I know stopped playing even before I had for exactly the same reasons.

So I guess that unless the thing you are working on apart from leagues is something else I may play meanwhile. I definitely will be playing some other games until next league.

That is, depending on what happens to delve content when this league ends. If it is implemented into the main as it is then honestely I'll just give on PoE entirely.

I don't like playing tanky builds. I like to play builds which have lots of damage and actually rely on player skill to dodge what's coming his way rather than having 5000 different layers of mitigation. Unfortunatly, skill is not part of delve content. In delve, mobs deal many times more damage than similar level mobs in maps, despite the fact that they have nowhere near the same mods they still deal much more damage to the poitn of white mobs oneshoting players. Let's add the darkness invunerability and there is no space for skill, only a gear/tree check to see if you have enough layers of mitigation to survive it and then kill them.

This is neither fun nor good for build diversity.
