What We're Working On

Awesome content lately, love the decision not to do flashback.
I hope the next league is more polished from the start, without super rare bosses that only a handful of people see in the first 2 weeks, like abyss and delve, only to have it buffed to a good state when the league hype has died down.

And please, tone down the RNG challenges for next league.

Player retention during Delve has been excellent

srsly, all my friends and me already quit the league. dk who is still playing this crap sulphite gated league

according to this post. if thats real GGGs intention all my friends and me will quit this game. imho this league is the best examble of how a league should NOT be.

“If we make the game more rewarding, people will quit faster, even though they feel they’re having a better time,” says Rogers. “Some of the leagues that have been the best in terms of player reception have also been some of the worst in terms of retention for our company, so we’ve got to be careful."

Sorry but your friends quitting the league doesn't mean that the Delve retention isn't good LOL...... that's like saying, "Smoking doesn't cause lung cancer, because all of my older friends smoke and none of them have lung cancer". Very faulty logic!

I like to have no flashback! it's pressure to play that, instead you can focusing on completing league or just do something else!
Oooohhhhh no Flashback :( And I was hoping for a free box ^^

Please do ROYALE again ! I did not have much time to play last one !!

Some of that 'player retention' you think you are holding, GGG. If it's coming from challenge hunters I promise you many of them are really annoyed / burning out. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of them don't play next league, people like being able to recharge between leagues, it's how folks can more easily get 7k+ hours and keep playing. Making your challenges RNG dependent to the level that it is was a mistake. If you hate challenges this is a great league, if you want challenges this is the worst league to date.
what so special about delve that people want it in core game? i mean it reduces playground to preconstructed, narrow tunnels instead of huge variety of mapping system which can be manipulated in several ways. in delve the only creativity is to choose which path you take next. i'm sure the real reason why people like it is monster density and insane loot. but adding to core would not only mean to reduce both but also to make it appear less often to keep it balanced to core content that already includes many other leagues and ofc new upcoming stuff. i don't think those people will still like it then

Thank for making the challenge difficult, player retention has been good hey?
If I go first, I'll wait for you in the other side of the dark water.

It's not faulty logic, it's what players experiencing with the game/league and a feedback. Players who take their time to give feedback, and not only quitting. So they care about the game.

Free to them (GGG) to take some feedback from people who doing their best to give them that. Players who are enough invested to check forums & such even after few hours after the post, or just following blindly some data gathered by internal bot to rush into conclusion : "yeah, it was a success", numbers, you can see them and make them telling whatever you want... It's only depends on how you see things and how you manipulate and combine them to fits to your story.

"Hey, 30% of our player base is still active, they probably enjoying the content right now!"

Meanwhile, X% of theses active players still running after few challenges to even get their wings, X% are bots and X% are burned out and frustrated to not reaching their "easy" goal. See? EAsy (yeah, caps was intented, easy too :p) to make assumption from numbers.

To me (and i was working for a gaming company for more than 10y), you can't always satisfy 100% of your player base. But you have a part of them, who's just playing for playing, without any "deep" implication in the game, and they just follow the flow. So yeah, hearing feedback from players should be a thing.

And i'm not saying GGG don't, don't get me wrong. I'm saying you should step back a little and listen to that "random player" who's take his time to give his feedback. :)
