Compare their logic on item trade to their likely arguments against MTX trade and it's like an xray of their real thought process and intentions.

The root problem is GGG is now an investment and the demand for growing profits has moved from owner greed to employee fiduciary duty.

There are two ways to make money: More customers, or squeezing existing ones. GGG's own greed and creativity limitations have already long exhausted them of ideas to get more customers without risk of losing any existing ones.

Really the only room left to innovate is the squeezing.

This place IS a casino. Everything about it is emotional manipulation and exploitation or ignorance and emotion.

It's a temple to profit that'll only get worse. And it has to be because everything that isn't in capitalism gets torn down to make room for something that is.

It's just that early capitalism's failings permit that to be hidden because there's opportunity everywhere. I say failings because every unexploited opportunity is by definition a market failure. That means less and less room for anything not instantly and infinitely profitable as time goes on.

It's a lot like a party. The longer it goes on the worse the mess gets.

The party will either get bad enough to drive me off, at which point I'll have already been replaced by a player of more profitable emotional and economic temperament, or I'll find something to better that pulls me away. Either way, this isn't sustainable.

Just as I praised you yesterday for the amazing Dragon portal for which I bought another $60 supporter pack because I was out of points and boom - this shit today. If you are bringing old MTXs for limited time - bring old supporters packs. A lot of us will be pretty happy to get some of them. Don't bring back damn lootboxes. It is beyond pointless since everything they contain is available for direct purchase. It also rightfully pisses people off because it reeks of greed. What an incredibly stupid idea...

So, from what I see and read here the things are that all the haters and QQ moaners here bitch upon GGG because their very own inpatience and low selfcontrol pushes them to buy more and more mystery boxes, aka GAMBLERS.

Tell ya what:
A) Don't buy mystery boxes
B) Buy one, and stop - and voi'la you never gonna get duplicates, EVER
C) if you gonna buy multiple boxes, accept the fact you can but may not get duplicates
D) visit your psychologist, you are gambler at least, for not starting a flamewar, I stop here.
