Looking how social media has evolved, it's clear that people are having a harder and harder time telling fiction from reality.

Even streamers fall into that category, and their viewers are definitely no exception.

As you've pointed out, I don't have to wear the RoW tag. ;)

While I don't disagree with any of that, it really doesn't pertain to the issue at hand, being the seeming burden on the devs to address streamers quote abusing unquote this hunger for fleeting prominence.

Any different from watching someone else play sports? Or watching someone pretend to be funny while pretending to be a nerd ? (big bang theory) fundamentally TV is just as contrived as watching a streamer either the content entertains you or it doesn't but thats all its there for like everything else.

If you get TV like here in the UK i'd rather suck mathils dick on stream than watch love island, better 20 seconds of pain than an entire series of torment.

Can you see how silly it is? If it bothers you, dont pay any attention to it. Don't make up any hypothetical situations on how you would play the game so differently, and how this is ruining your gameplay, because it isn't. I'm sure there are plenty of games out there where RMT is a full part of the game, so maybe you should be playing one of those if your goal in playing a game is to make real cash, rather than relaxing and PLAYING A GAME.

So the steamer isnt buying anything. What does the payer get out of it? Thats the bit that defies the usual definition of rmt.

This is not me giving my opinion or stance on the matter. Simply saying why this likely will never be handled as rmt by the devs. Its something else.
