ok i think i have something, took some ideas from my own MS build that i have on STD.
but, bear in mind that the gear is very end game.
i suggest making this your second character of the league.
i managed to get higher DPS, while keeping defense at about the same level.
the total life pool dropped quite a bit, but the EHP is the same :)
i ditched the Aul's amulet idea as it wasnt worth it.
this with the underwhelming mastery system brought me back to Xoph's Blood.
the changes from the older version are: (i had to manually fix the POB since its not fully updated)
shield with the scorch on block implicit.
also spell block instead of max chaos res.
we hit 85% max chaos res with 80% max ele res with Divine Flesh, thats high enough so we dont need the +3 from the shield.
since we have enough max ele res, its better to have 50% reduced damage from crits as a kaoms corruption.
i used 2 thread of hope jewels to squeeze in more damage and defense.
dropped the golem as it was annoying to keep it up on boss fights along side the totem and manually marking enemies.
it would also cost mana (CWDT) and die a lot any way.
replaced that with enhance linked to blood rage - ancestral protector - sniper's mark.
yes you read right, we are now using snipers mark instead of poachers mark.
the reason is the sword mastery, for 4 points we are taking 3 pretty useless nodes just to get "8% to gain frenzy charge on hit" from the mastery.
this allows us to drop poachers mark and use snipers mark for a much higher dps boost.
(if you are rich enough, get anomalous blood rage and you can respec those 4 points :P )
now that we can cap our accuracy without precision we can slot in another small aura.
i chose the new Tempest Shield for the job.
it now grants 25% spell block and immunity to shock, which is very big for us.
25% with the 12% on the shield and Glancing Blows (thread of hope shenanigans) brings us to 56% attack / 74% spell block.
im still considering Glancing Blows though, im not sure its better for the build.

Sad to hear that league starting with this build would be harder, but I'm glad to see it's getting worked out at the least. Great job as usual.

so you dont think this build will be enough to make 1 character and only play 1 character on the whole league? Ive never done the super endgame bosses, so im not really including those unless I get there one day....

Hybrid thanks for sharing. Tempest shield is an interesting addition, for sure.
A couple of things that I saw that *might* be helpful (or ignored - you can decide):
1) On the large cluster, go for the Axe and Sword version and get Bloodscent instead of Fuel the Fight OR Feed the Fury. At about 19 rage the DPS is the same; at 50 rage you get about 450K more dps. If you chose to go this route, I would also suggest replacing the L1 Vitality with a Rage Support. For life gain on hit, I would go for LGOT on a ring, which means you can go for (if you can afforded it) another damage mod on your Watcher's eye. Of course the next step would be to have a Berserk skill, which while active, takes your burst total DPS to just under 11M. And lastly I would add a low level Hydrosphere to a CWDT for ST bossing, because you have Tenacity.
2) Getting a corrupted Grelwood with "chance to fortify on hit" might be difficult even toward end game: perhaps go with the "Melee Hits fortify" Mastery from the Steadfast cluster and then just leave the Accuracy implicit on the Grelwood or go for another DPS boosting corruption (like chance to get Onslaught which would, imho, be amazing).
I noticed you didn't go for any of the Melee Range materies or the 30% greater range for additional strikes mastery. I am going to try these out in my (Standard) build. They might be good for enabling ridiculosly good clear speed, especially if one has +2 to strikes on gloves (hard to get in a league tho).
As always, I appreciate reading your guide and the work you do to keep it up to date. I hope at least some of this feedback is useful.
EDIT: here is the modified PoB Pastebin, if you want to look: https://pastebin.com/3MK4BhpZ
EDIT 2: I just noticed you have added the +10 hits for the balls and the melee +1... I wasn't doing this on my own PoBs... makes a HUGE difference. Again, thanks for sharing your stuff!

Is it really worth it to take the endurance charge and jewel slot on the left? Its long pathing and the frenzycharge + mastery on the bottom looks so juicy

I've never built anything before, but I've managed to get it to 4.3 mil DPS as little eHp loss as I could figure out https://pastebin.com/aFGG07Kj
EDIT 2: if life leech turns out to be enough without the extra maximum leech, we can get about 900 more life including another jewel https://pastebin.com/CmUcB5K8
Happy to read that the feedback was helpful. With respect to leech, I think if you can get a good source of LGOH (life gain on hit) from either Watcher's Eye Vitality Mod or (my preference) an Influenced ring prefix mod, you don't need to worry about extra maximum life leech, which is good because there is a map mod that prevents life and mana leech, but not LGOH.

You can squeeze out some more dps if you mess with some of the alternate gem qualities, I don't see any reason not to.
Specifically, Phantasmal Ancestral Protector gives 450k and Anomalous Blood and Sand another 180k, along with some minor dps boosts on other gems.

Hi,
I really wanted to league start this build i like the defenses i saw from the pob alot (like kill me if you can with bruh face on)and i see it had awesome clear speed as well and like 6 mil dps at least at endgame is magnificent.
So please can i have a lvling league start trees and progression until i am able to reach this with estimated budget please?
you are speaking to a retarded poe player sorry for disturbance.
and thanks in advance :D

if you are good enough at the game and know how to make money early then it probably doable.
i think that getting into maps wont be hard as a league starter, but climbing to rolled red maps would need much more investment.

alt quality varies in prices, some can get VERY expensive.
but i will tweak the POB, its already based on end game gear.

i dont want to give up on life or mana leech, those are very important imo.
rage can be clunky and with only one source of rage generation you wont get to max rage most of the time.
replacing rage with EDWA is the same dps at 50 rage, but you have to build up for it.
also including Berserk felt like just inflating the dps.
vitality is there for the watchers eye, so if you have a watchers with no vitality mod you can replace it by anything else.
hydroshpere is a very RNG.
its effectiveness depends on when it activates, where and positions of you and the boss.
vs Sirus it feels useless because he teleports non stop, and this is where you need it the most.
just personally dont like it.
we dont really need the accuracy implicit on the sword and this is the most efficient way to get fortify.
the mastery grants you fortify on hit, but also costs point AND -3 to max fortification, which is bad.
as for range, we really dont have any points to spare, and im not sure about how good it is.
will have to test when the patch is online.

with alt quality gems we get more dps, but would be expensive.

btw, awakened EDWA will get you immunity to reflect from molten strike.
so it means that you could potentially run any map mod, pretty POG.
