Have done:
- Shaper - Red Elder - Uber Elder - Atziri - Uber Atziri - All Guardians - All Atlas Maps (even HOGM solo) - All Elder Guardians (t13-t16) - Delve Depth 260 with this so far. Has been pretty smooth sailing. Things this build struggles with are encounters that can reliably kill off your golems a lot. An example of this is minotaur with nasty map mods. You can counter that by subbing out some primordial harmonies for eminences to get extra defensive benefits and give your golems more toughness against physical damage. I usually run Uber Elder with 3-4 Eminences and this stops the golems from dying completly. Damage is still more then fine to kill it. Another thing I've noticed is that while you definitely can run ele reflect maps, you have to be a bit careful on firing multiple volleys of ball lightning into big mob packs if a map has ele reflect, -max res and cursed by ele weakness. I leveled this to 93 without issues. If you don't become super overconfident or stand in stupid shit, it's generally an extremely safe build to level. From 92 -> 93 I died only twice and both times were my fault because I didn't think before running into exploding mob packs. Overall it has become my favorite build to farm endgame with. Uber Elder and Shaper are just so painless with this it's actually laughable. You can even solo HOGM deathless with it :) |

" How much life/mana do you currently have? I managed deathless shaper runs with my character but two things still fuck me up: Uber Elder and Minotaur. Both get me with oneshot attacks. UElder is probably a lot of learning to do on my part but minotaur just feels like a brickwall. I'll try to go for more eminences though, since more living golems -> less attacks against myself (I got minion taunt on an abyss jewel). |

" drop primordial might and get The Vigil jewel instead and use vigilant strike for 35 sec fortify + link light and cold golems with blind (20q is very usefull) + 20q decoy totem to avoid falling rocks my deathless Maze of Minataur run , boss fight starts at 3:46 https://youtu.be/fFApqiufdAk |

" I have 6250 Life and 2100 Mana for a combined total of 8350 EHP. Minotaur is indeed pretty tough, but a easy way to prevent it from one tapping your golems is subbing out 3-4 primordial harmonies for primordial eminence's to give the golems extra armor. Using 4 eminences the golems usually do not get oneshot and you can direct them out of the falling rocks. Generally for minotaur you should keep a safe distance and relocate when he burrows. The burrow hit will one tap you sometimes. Don't stand in the falling rocks too. For uber elder, this fight is 100% practice. You can't tank shaper balls, you can't tank shaper beam, you can't tank the nova or the skitter projectiles, you just have to be careful and dodge. Good news is, golems rarely die there. Better news, besides throwing ball lightning from time to time to direct the golems you can 100% focus on avoiding mechanics. I also use 4 Primordial eminences for uber elder because it beefs up my health regeneration quite a bit and enables the golems to about just survive the expanding nova. Another ancilliary tip for uber elder: learn when to conserve flask charges and when not. Sometimes you'll get chunked for like 75% of your health, but depending on how the fight goes, it might be worth to let it regenerate on its own rather then using a precious flask charge (especially true if you're running 4 emmys, it beefs up your hp regen to 750/s) Last edited by Magisch#5461 on Oct 4, 2018, 12:55:51 PM

I want to try a golem build since they seem extremely fun but I'm having a hard time deciding which build is better. I first saw TheUberElites reddit post and youtube video before stumbling onto this build. I was wondering what are the pros and cons of each one?
The arc ignite combined with the inpulsa's seems like it would be a lot of damage. Since you're stacking -fire resists and buffing your own ignite and burning damage as well. But you lose out on a couple of harmonies. I'm still only level 75 so I'm struggling with boss damage and survivability a bit, also not able to use Stormfire until level 80. Reading all the posts about uber elder kills in this thread make me want to respec. Opinions? Thanks And this is TheUberElite's theorycrafted build. https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/9jf5mx/poe_34_arc_ignite_golemmancer_inpulsa/ |

Completed Uber Lab with this build at level 68, and just killed Shaper with this build earlier today at level 76.
Leveling was the smoothest I've ever had after I switched to golems at level 34; I was basically just shield charging through areas while my golem horde killed enough behind me that I still leveled consistently. My Shaper run wasn't deathless because I'm bad at this game, but it was still smooth enough. I'm using Belly of the Beast instead of Kaom's Heart, but mostly because I already owned a Belly but not a Kaom's. Additionally, I put my Ball Lightning in some Shaper gloves with Blind Support built-in, so all tough enemies are effectively permanently blind. I'm not using a Primordial Might and only occasionally get annoyed at my minions not being aggressive enough, so I'd agree with OP's assessment that it's generally not needed. " I checked out your character and the first things I noticed are that 1.) You're using a level 17 Flame Golem. A level 21 is only 3c, so just go buy one. A level 21 gem is going to get you much, much more damage than 20% increased damage given by a quality version. 2.) Your helmet could be a lot better. The fire res penalty is nice, but it still just a 4L. At the very least, you want one with +2 to Minion Gems; just switching to a level 21 Flame Golem and a +2 helmet would give you 50% more damage dealt by your golems. What you really want though is a helmet with +2 to Minion Gems and a couple of support gems. For context, here's my helmet that I got for only 20c. I've been enjoying this build so obviously I would recommend it, but even just fixing those two small issues should fix a lot of your damage woes, though not necessarily your issues with survivability. |
