As far as auras for proccing the ascendancy dmg bonus, I use Rejuv totem. Regen for minions and dps boost all at once with no mana reservation.

I am running herald of purity in the lone spot on the Chaber Cairn, which gives it plus two levels, and I don't have to deal with the enhanced mana costs of adding the support gems. Also running a haste aura.
Faster attack and maim have a 110% multiplier, ruthless 115.
That's not much, and they are not that weak in comparation with the 140% stones
Some drama at the end plus misclick with vaal skelies skill under bubble.
Anyway fun fight. DPS-wise everything is ok. Only problem is when your dps dies :)

It's not a bad idea, with scourge, it's can be insane for minions.
I see that you are testing 2 scourges, what's your feeling ?
Damage is insane (~500% minion dmg modifier). Just cutting through the content with ease. Damage-wise it can handle everything up to Uber Elder. Is it possible to handle this encounter? I honestly don't know. In my case probably impossible due to poor knowledge of the fight mechanics and let's be honest my skill :) If manage to gather enough currency to run it I will give you my feedback
As for now, this is my latest addition/upgrade - works pretty damn well :)
Can concur, dual wielding The Scourge is a huge DPS boost both to you and your minions, and it seems Dom Blow will even swing both weapons, literally doubled my tool tip dps(for the attack it self) just equipping the second claw, and as kilgorek said the on hit bonus to minion damage stacks to 140% added dmg to you and minions.

And attack speed for you & your minions too :)
The creation of sentinel is "on kill" for the herald.
With DomBlow, it's on kill and on hit on unique ennemy.
So the creation of sentinels of purity/dominance is faster.
