Crashes, Flares and Parties
Have to run into the darkness because you can't toss a flare ahead of you so you're guaranteed to lose health. Then you toss a flare while you're losing health and the darkness just kills you anyway? WTF
Some of us only play HC - which you know - and this is what you launched the league with? Who at GGG actually played this and thought "oh yeah, that'll be lots of fun for our players"? This is D3 launch level bad. | |
Experimenting with flares killed me on HC. Any1 playing HC MUST avoid flares use. Actually HC players better to avoid whole Delve content, too much risk to die with no time to react. Disappearing crawler, light affect position calculation problems, monsters triggering on you while immune, etc...

Funny how the community has to do testing on a "polished league".
No wonder when the alpha team is busy rmting and cheating to stay on top of the lab ladder to control the jewel market. |

I'll throw in my two cents as well.
Like everyone else is saying, the league feels really cool - except for flares and dynamite. Flares are super inconsistent, hard to see and create only a tiny pinprick of light. Dropping them on the ground creates a multitude of problems as the player scrambles to reach a safe haven while surrounded by invulnerable enemies. I would suggest, therefore, that you abandon the flare throwing mechanic entirely. Make flares instead be carried by the player and last only a few seconds, and make them pop instantly (or almost instantly). This would make them consistent for our HC friends and just might make players willing to explore beyond the cart again. As for dynamite, I've honestly never used one, since I've never seen a fractured wall - and I've been looking. I'd write more here, but I don't want this to be a rant. This league is so close to being awesome, and leagues always have issues at the start. I'm excited to see where it goes from here | |
the flare drop system is really retarded. It doesn't drop beneath your legs and it doesn't drop where you click, it drops where your character model is facing at given time at random distance apparently

Delve is an amazing league! Thank you guys for it! I really do love the feeling and the looks!
Two things that I feel need to be improved: - its sometimes very hard to see the crawler. I tend to follow it on the mini map instead of the main screen. The crawler should really really stand out! Give him some bright headlights or sth... - -i have never seen a fractured wall. I looked for it but either they are super rare or they just dont appear the way I expect them to look? | |
Yeah League feels amazing flares don't etc etc... Someone suggested that one sort of approach to fixing the issues with using flares would be to have your character throw them in the are not on the ground. One of the big issues being, that you don't really get a lot of visual feedback from using them. Having the stick to the roof or the walls of the mine or something like that.
