The following is a community ruleset aimed at encouraging new players to get into PvP at a lower cost while increasing the number of available builds!

eHLD RULES
Open Profiles Unique Equipment Only - Exceptions below in "Non-Unique" No Legacy Items No Beneficial Corruptions Each skill may only be linked to 3 support gems + Block Chance Reduction support gem Noting support gems in items as well as any modifiers to "socketed gems" count towards the "3 support" limit The Block Chance Reduction support gem does not count towards the 3 support link maximum allowing for 5links if "Block Chance Reduction" support is used. Limited Items: Unique Flasks limited to 1 (1 unique flask total, not one of each) Poets pen Limited to 1
Non-Unique
You may use as many non-unique items as you wish however their total affixes across all non-unique may only add up to 5 Affixes on jewels are not included and jewels have their own rules (see below) Multimod craft is not counted towards this limit. T1 affixes as well as damage affixes on weapons count as 2 No influenced or atlas bases and no legacy rolls No Drop only mods (delve/incursion, mods obtainable via fossils are fine) Jewel Rules: No 4 Property Rare Jewels No Rare Abyss Jewels No T1 prefixes on Abyss Jewels No flat damage or penetration on jewels Banned Items: Aegis Aurora Asenath's Chant Atziri's Reflection Blightwell Farrul's Fur Gloomfang Greatwolf Talisman Helm Enchants Kitava's Thirst Paradoxica with %increased physical damage Penetration enchant on boots Precursors emblem Shroud of Eternity Sunblast Timeless jewels Thousand Teeth Temmu Watcher's Eye Xirgil's Crank Mines are banned in general, no mines Banned Skills: Aspect of the Spider Bear Trap Blade Vortex Blight Cast When Damage Taken Cast When Stunned Cluster Trap/Multitrap (support gem) Cremation Flameblast Rain of Arrows Toxic Rain Unleash (support gem) Winter Orb Restricted Skills: Ball Lightning cannot be supported with Trap support Frost Wall CANNOT be linked with Spell Cascade support Glacial Cascade cannot be supported with Trap support Storm Brand cannot be supported with anything Volley and Lesser Multiple Projectiles must be level 1 Banned Ascendancy Nodes/Keystones: Wicked Ward - Keystone Rules eLLD - Low Level Dueling ( level 28 ) eLLD events will be held in the Temporary Challenge Leagues

FAQ
Although eHLD is perm standard some tournaments would allow players to use league characters (non-random teams/solo tournaments) 21/20 and 20/23 gems count as beneficial corruptions (banned) White sockets DO NOT count as beneficial corruptions (allowed) Greatwolf Talismans are banned for all magic, rare and unique variants. If an affix on a non-unique item is 99% useless to your build it is not counted towards affix limits, eg. light radius T1 affixes refers to the highest possible tier naturally roll-able, or the best roll of a specific mod from essence or delve You cannot bypass the 3 supports per skill rule with items that grants supports or with socketed gem modifiers (eg +1 gem level or socketed gems deal x% more damage) You can use a 6link to obtain three "4links" with clever support choices When using Curse On Hit support gem you count the linked Curses as Support gems for rules - this includes bane AND Vixen's Entrapment Storm Brand cannot be supported with anything includes no Curse on hit or Block Chance Reduction League Specific items are Legacy Items if not obtainable currently (no unobtainable - as of Jan 20, 2020) Legacy master crafts are banned Paradoxica is allowed as long as it doesn't have any %increased physical damage on it An ascended character is not eligible queue into LLD For LLD Rares Strength or Implicit rolls do not count towards Maximum Life limit For LLD non Elreon Jewelry have no limit to number of properties Vaal Skill Gem Variations do NOT count as a beneficial corruption Players must have an Open Profile during the Event and for one hour after the Event Keep in mind that these are subject to change More information will be posted as we get closer
Intention
All rules fall under two categories: Accessibility Balance The intention of the rules is to provide new and old pvpers a fair start to get into PvP and understand what PvP could be in PoE. Banning Legacy items and beneficial corruptions is an example of Accessibility, even if there were many PvP builds that did not need those players without access to them immediately can feel that they do not have the tools to even participate. Banning 21 gems and 4links Max is for balance, PvP damage is too high and no one wants competitive PvP in PoE to be two players trying to one shot the other offscreen when the match starts and they do not even see the other player. Some thoughts regarding hld items:
" I think unban Asenath's Chant is ok, poet's pen unban but limit to one. Kitava's arguable but for the most part unban worthy imo as CWC is not banned and it has same penalty. Zerphi's can probably be unbanned as both healing and buff are removed upon being hit now so it cannot be used to tank through stuff. | |
" poets was already unbanned for HLD, I havnt touched the lld balance becouse I am unsure on specifics of balance. as for both Asenath's Chant and Kitava's thrist, the issue is more so they automate movement skills (like flamedash and lightning warp) rather than actually dealing damage, and zerphi will be unbanned soonish, but i wont touch the balance until we see new skills in 3.6 |
