Poe is not F2P, because you can not continue until the end of the game.

Who comes saying that it is F2P but it is not a collector game, this person does not exist for me.

The company POE is small, but with what has won and still have not done anything about the prices ... Fornite with better graphics and better experience, costs only 10 euros (Skins, characters...) for ever, while in POE with 100 euros you lack things ...

However much they write, they are only excuses, they can deceive some, but not the other majority.

Please do not take my money, because do not I give it to you

LAST EPOCH -> free to play. (ALPHA) New ARPG style Diablo and POE.

Go buy some stash tabs you cheap bastard. The game is f2p and its great.

Even though i don't agree with the OP and his stash management could be better and he could make mules, your sentence though... contradict much? Game is free / go BUY tabs... LOL.

Get triggered.
Necropolis league G.O.A.T
Last Epoch is f2p? Damn then, those guys need to give me back my $50.
i also tried to survive on pay to win games without spending money. it got kind of a sport to beat the system.

poe has been the first game that didn't push me to support them, totally worked for me. that changed though over time, i can remember times people shitstormed th forum over a dollar sign in the ui ... now we get ingame spam and "mtx cheap cheap buy now, look bett tomorrow" right into our face on every login and while playing.

yeah, times have changed and so the audience. but i think with no real paywalls the game is still worth it to throw some money to nz so devs can get some more of the unhealthy english food they make.
age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!
This is obviously not the first time this topic gets discussed. I'm sure most of us have read through at least some of these threads already, and even more so the more F2P games you've played so far. One reason none of those discussions were leading to anything might be that they wrong topic got addressed - the question is not "Is this game playable F2P?", but "Is this game entertaining, even when played F2P?"

A game is an obstacle we're challenging by choice for our amusement. The publishers are advertising their product as amusing, even as a F2P - or in other words: Overcoming that hurdle will be fun, despite spending no money. However, most F2P games (including PoE) are not designed to do so. In fact, it's quite the contrary and there's nothing wrong by doing so. Yet, it results in endless discussions as this seems to be a factor most people in gaming forums aren't addressing.

PoE's stash system is designed to be complicated, slow and for some even frustrating without spending money. And that's the point: Frustration is not fun, it's not challenging or rewarding either. Neither is discarding your currency or other minor items just because they're not required right now. This is genius in terms of business design, but the exact opposite of what a game should be. You don't want to give the players a reward or drop he can't keep. And PoE is doing everything it can to give literally every item a sense of meaning, that's where GGG is godlike. So having all those currency, essences, whatever popping up and knowing you can't keep it just because you haven't spend any money is not fun.

And this is where the whole "PoE is not F2P" discussion is coming from. Everything screams "You aren't having enough fun", and, in fact, that's right - you aren't having as much fun as you could have. The promise of the game being entertaining gets questioned by everyone who's playing F2P.

So to sum up: Yes, the game is playable without spending money. Yet it doesn't feel right. And that's what's most important: Not the rationality, but the feeling - or, in this case, the amusement.

If you knew when the first 'special' tab got introduced your story suddenly falls apart. We didn't have any tabs for the first couple leagues. Most people remember playing without any of them and doing just fine. Anyone who considers this game pay to win, or stash tabs mandatory has never played any other free to play game. Free to play doesn't mean everyone is equal, or has equal comfort. If there would be no incentive to spend a few bucks, then most wouldn't. And I know this comes as a shock to some of you people, but games don't run on thin air. So suck it up, go free to play and get used to spending abit more time sorting your stash, or don't, spend a few bucks, and buy some comfort. Asking for the second, and doing the first is beyond retarded.

F2P pay-for-perks games have been around for long enough at this point that everyone should know what they're getting into. Quite frankly, I'd rather just pay a one time price for a game to have all the content, but now people just seem to expect games to be free, and it really hurts the market for online multiplayer games trying to break into the market.

I've watched paid games struggle to maintain playerbase. I'm still sad that Strike Vector never had enough players to support it, despite being one of the best competitive games I've played. At the beginning people were already complaining that a relatively cheap game should be F2P. I dropped like 15 bucks on it and had immediate access to everything in the game. I've spent over $30 on POE and have some tabs, but not all, nor any cosmetics besides a few league items.

And that's okay. I knew what I was getting into. I got to play for free for like a year knowing that if I wanted a bunch of premium content that it was going to cost me. People spend their time making a product, expect to pay for it somehow. If people were more willing to just buy games upfront, we wouldn't even have to worry about these silly complaints where people feel they can't get their money's worth out of something they never paid for.

When there are people out there that expect something for nothing, we end up with this system where things have to be inconvenient for everybody. Maybe we wouldn't have to go through Poe.Trade if everyone just chipped in and supported the hard working developers in the first place.

Somebody thinks that the whole world owns him or her a living.
OP wasted 4 stash tabs with garbage and he would do the same even with 100 stash tabs. Nonsense topic.
retired from forum because of censorship and discrimination
(also poe2 bad)
I've played this game since the official release. I played for approximately 6 years?? on the original 4 stash tabs that come with the base game. it was not until recently that I dropped the $60 on a support pack for stash tabs because I am not a hardcore gamer and didn't play enough to warrant all the extra space. then when the specialty stash tabs came out I decided I've played for free long enough, they deserve money for the game, and now I can afford it, just like you would spend on any disc at the store.

if you're complaining about that sort of expenditure, you're just ridiculous.
Seriously, this is not serious. The only limit is stash space, you can buy the first blood pack, get the currency stash and upgrade one premium, then wait discount for other stash.
