I think you should consider adding ALL the Flashback events to the core game! :D

Maybe not as frequently, but it's certainly nice to get Parandus (even though he's had nothing good for me yet :( ), the Abyss, Breach, and the "funky black/blue guy", lol! :)

I did not realize when I started, that the Incursion League was only temp - will we be able to retain the characters created for it? Or only the characters created for the Incursion Flashback Event?

I will be quite upset if not, as my Incursion League character is far better than my standard, and I *seriously* do not want to have to replay the game from the beginning - that would be exceedingly ridiculous, imho.

Your league ("incursion") characters will be transferred to standard/hardcore, but you can't use the league specific features then (until they add it to the core).
