Wouldn't there be an overleveling issue or how is that dealt with?

Don't worry, there would be a ton of hit-kill mechanics to make sure to make you lose exp.

What I am hoping doesn't happen is that you wind up seeing only a small handful of builds being played during the league. Where the majority are only playing a few builds per ascendancy becaues they are the only ones that can go deep enough to get the best rewards.

It is the same reason why Diablo 3 doesn't have the build diversity that it needs. Infinite scaling content has prevented it from having the build diversity that it needs.

I am hoping that GGG can prevent that from happening because it would be bad if players are basically only playing a few builds per ascendancy. Much like how in Diablo 3 players are only playing a few builds that can reach the highest of the leader boards.

Few builds per ascendancy? 70% of players are using 5 out of 19 ascensions. Half of the currently played builds are Arc (all saboteurs and totems), Blade Vortex (all elemetnalists) and Elemental Hit (all ascendants and third of deadeyes).

Thanks for telling me that, but still even though that is the case there are still other players that are perfectly fine with playing other builds. Take me for example I have my own Fireball Carpet Bomber Elementalist and I am having fun.

The problem with this dungeon could be that to get the best rewards you have to go the deepest. Then the only builds that will be touted will be the strongest. I am saying that this dungeon could funnel you into one of those builds in order to get the best rewards out of it. Where playing anything else less just won't cut it like Diablo 3 Great Rift. You get more experience being able to speed farm the higher tiered Greater Rifts.

The gap between the builds might even increase where instead of the about 70% that you mentioned could go as high as 95%. This could be like Diablo 3 that funnels players into using the strongest builds if you want the best rewards. Sure if you have fun playing less that is okay to. I don't think that players will like the idea of being funneled into those builds. Besides what about the revamps to the skills that have already been done? Don't they account for something or was it not enough?
I assume that you can somehow port to a previously visited location, right?
It would suck if you had to backtrack low level zones to explore deeper at later delves - i.e. no xp and slow progression.
^^^^^^^^^^^^

Great point. I agree with an argument that people are forced to play certain builds.

Nets 2.0

Thanks I guess. For a company that prides itself with player feedback there's a huge disconnect between what we say and what you do.

Nobody liked the nets ok? N O B O D Y. I don't know who is pushing this agenda for new leagues but he/she is doing GGG a huge disservice. I am willing to bet everything I have that the person who has done Beastiary is the same person who came up with this moronic idea of throwing light sticks on the ground and whatnot.

You are slowly but surely becoming nu-Blizzard.

sure, nets sucked and noone liked them. i think there is a difference though.

- you needed to use nets on monsters that are being killed. it was hard to time and interrupted your gameplay because you needed to stop and find that particular monster in all the action that is going on and minions wouldnt stop killing anyway
- you were flooded with annoying nets and drop sounds that they hardcoded into the game (great software engineering btw)

while i absolutely hate additional currency items and new hotkeys for flares and dynamite, i think it's not quite comparable to nets. there is time pressure, yes, but not in a sense that you need to find the one monster you want to capture and use the net on it. you just throw a flare in the general direction. we'll have to see how it will turn out.

Bestiary was more popular and played, than Incursion. There are sources that prove this. Therefore it makes sense to design a similar non speed meta league.

We should all be happy that we don´t get Breach 5.0, as it´s been nothing but a nuisance to always play the same in every league except for one, Bestiary.

This is an ARPG, timers and 10 second rifts have no place here. We want to adventure into dungeons, fight big encounters and this with a variety of builds. It´s a great feature that we can level our lorry. This gives hope that we might at one point get a true follower system.

Look! Another Speed-Clear-Meta league! What a surprise!

Another league where not all the builds can play in equal form, so again more R-Type Builds!

Endless dungeons are good, but, the layout and mechanics make nearly all the melee builds a big no-no.

It depends how ranged mobs work. If you must go after them, they will become an issue, same for summoners with our minions that would just die to every ranged mob they attack (in the dark).

I would assume there are mechanics in place to prevent that, like you can only be attacked from mobs in the light or something.

In fact, that funneling is already here for a long time. If you don't play meta, you won't scratch endgame content, and you'll have to grind 24/7 to get half-decent stuff.

New and revamped skills suck 95% of the time and are hell op 5% that left. For example, that new phantasm support. Is it a cool idea? I'd say yes. Is it usable? Absolutely no. It can't work as a main skill, and as a secondary, it should use the same gem setup as main. But it is a physical projectile spell. No other skill or minion have physical projectile spells. Elemental spell projectile? Yes. Physical attack projectile? Yes (even if none of them are good). But not physical spell. Also, it works only with clear speed meta (you have to keep killing to keep them up) and is useless on bosses for obvious reasons. And something like this can be said about almost all new things. A lot of interesting concepts, but way too disconnected from reality to work.
Organic chemistry is a weird thing. If you add a spoon of shit to a barrel of jam you'll get a barrel of shit.

The Depth Ladder tracks who has delved the deepest into the mine.

This makes no sense unless you will make different ladders for ones who play in party and ones who play alone. Half of top N flashback event are aurabots with no damage passives/items and other half are those you was carried by this aurabots. And i promise you 'Delve ladder' will be exactly the same. Aurabots are making any content a joke and there is no way to compete with someone who is using aurabot if you don't have one carrying you through the game. Aurabots completely ruined compete experience in PoE. Situation where you have to use aurabots to be able to compete is a huge fail and i hope you, GGG, will consider this points and enable competitive gameplay for those of us who are refusing to participate in this 'aurabots' idiocy as you did for whose who enjoy SSF play style.

I am pretty sure there will be a SSF ladder. There you can solo :)
Great idea, GGG, but how about fixing some current issues, i.e. HUGE imbalance between different setups, and aurabots being literally mandatory for really HARD content? Should we change PoE into MMORPG now, where hardest content should be farmed with party, where there are dedidcated "supports", "tanks", "damage dealers", etc?
