So how do you think this build will be with nerfed asc-slayer overleech?

Ascendant - Slayer
No longer grants 20% increased Damage while Leeching. Now grants 30% increased area of Effect if you've Killed Recently (up from 20%). Now also grants 50% reduced Maximum Recovery per Life Leech. |

The build make alot of small hits, atleast 10 / attack. And should therefore be fine.
And i can't find it anywhere in the patchnotes that they actually implemented the 5sec overleech timer they mentioned in the manifest. If that's the case, then this build might have dodged the nerfbat =) IGN - AlfettaGT

" It is actually 2.5 sec overleech for ascendant slayer. leech amount per hit is now caped at 10% of max hp. ascendant slayer has this amount reduced by 50%, so 5%. e.g. 1000hp you hit for 200 damage, but can only leech 5% of max hp per leech. you will lech 50hp. Since leech per second is caped at 2% of max hp, this means: 50hp/20hp/s = 2.5 sec. So you will leech 20hp/s over 2.5 sec. you can modify the leech Duration, however. |

I wanted to have this build as my league starter (modified a bit). The nerf are looking pretty rough tho. Alone the slayer ascendant (only 2.5 sec overleech), but the loreweave (only 78% max resi possible) for SC too. :(
Edit: So in short, things one can do to fix the issues coming from the 3.6 patch (altho you have to test and experiment actually playing to know how does it feel): - unallocate Vaal Pact, so you'll have life regen + put extra points in regen - you can have an extra node at around the upper left meek - for sacrificing 5 (or 6) points you can have GOLEM'S BLOOD which gives 15% life and 1.6% life regen - for sacrificing 5 points you can have Growth and Decay granting 2% life regen - you can move the upper left meek to take place where Unnatural instinct would be and path through the notable SHAPER instead of the useless SENTINEL, if you'd use 2 meeks only anyway - you can use a MARBLE AMULET base with life regen, also some unique necklaces have life regen - you can unallocate VITALITY VOID tho effects need to be tested - easy %life regen can be gained from abyss jewels - might want to consider not using blood rage or you will lose hp constantly except if you are doing some fast and continuous cleering. You can use ICE BITE instead of added cold damage, but it's a dps loss. - you can use stone golem instead of ice (needs 98str @lvl 20) - consider changing DAMAGE ON FULL LIFE to ELEMENTAL FOCUS vs bosses, and to HYPOTHERMIA vs trash, if you feel like you can't be at full hp enough - obviously you can go with less frenzy charges so you'll have less degen, but it's meh, less dmg, less ele mitigation, less movement speed and first of all less purpose of Hopeshredder :D - you can even choose another ascendancy instead of Slayer as others will grant much more dmg, but not the overleech of course Keep in mind, that the new HATRED buff grants a +18% global dmg multiplier as we deal 99% cold damage. TL;DR: ditch Vaal Pact, get %life regen, skip blood rage, use Ice Bite (or some unique or frenzy) instead of Added Cold Dmg for charges Last edited by kiralygomba#7988 on Mar 11, 2019, 1:21:09 PM

I recommend Levelling with Sunder, which you can buy from Nessa after The Siren's Cadence, until Maps.
possibly the dumbest shit i read allday .... nice build that aside |

The damage boost we got from this patch is absolutely nuts. I would say to make up for the new lack of leech, just switch out damage on full life with life leech support. I've spent maybe 100 ex into my character, so with that in mind, that one little switch really put me back to normal.
Edit: Idk maybe I spoke too soon, it still doesn't fix the massive drain from both blood rage and hopeshredder on 5 frenzies. The only other thing I can think of is to dump blood rage for frenzy, it sucks to have to charge up frenzies but at least you don't die in between mobs. Edit II: Okay so I now realize that life leech support was a poor trade off, so I did a couple things the guy above me suggested. I un-allocated vaal pact, and got a stone golem, now my damage feels right, and I don't almost die between large mobless gaps. Last edited by Hizzie#1401 on Mar 10, 2019, 3:59:26 PM
