Take out the escort mission gauntlet in Eternal Lab
" You do know they nerfed the loot in uber lab right? You used to get an exalt minimum every 10 currency boxes.. now I've opened 50+ currency boxes and had no ex drops. Also by adding enchants for new skills its even harder to get good enchants.... If they had negative dark shrines people would just ignore em (like they did in the past) which is why they buffed them. Last edited by Bloomania#2606 on Jul 14, 2018, 9:47:59 PM

" While i agree that loot from uber lab feels nerfed this day compared to what we were able to get in the past i don't agree about darkshrines. After they changed lab i stopped running it. It used to be super fun because of darkshrines. "Negative" darkshrines had two major positive effect: making whole lab more interesting (i remember having few different builds i used depending on daily roll of Izaro&darkshrine effect) and boosting loot overall (global iiq, iir) not to mention "lead to gold". I think people ignored darkshrines before not because they were bad, i think reason was that poe.lab didn't mark their location on map and we had different minimap (now we can see where hidden area is, before u had to look for that yourself). Today lab is just waste of time. It's boring and not challenging at all, you just need tons of attack or movement speed to get to dakrhsines, boxes and izaro as fast as u can not thinking much about anything. I don't remember that i died even once while completing uber lab for asc. points after that update, it feels like something between old cruel and merciless lab. Anything that makes lab less of a presence in the game would be welcome by me and quite a few others. Escort missions stand alone in how annoying they are, though, so getting rid of them sounds particularly good to me.
Managing them is mostly about minding your character's footwork and it *really* reminds me of Mario screens in which footwork is the key to moving forward. Step up to avoid the scythe, swing at a few mobs, step back to avoid the scythe on its return, and so on ... If we keep the escort missions in lab in their current form then I back an amended version of Pyrokar's "Mario avatar" suggestion, which is that GGG incorporate a "Mario" avatar as a darkshrine effect in any lab featuring an escort mission. Now that prestige classes will finally leave lab in 4.0, will GGG get it right this time or will they find new ways to repeat old mistakes?
