Yes, that's correct. I feel that 1mil shaper DPS is a good standard to reach, and the basic build currently reaches almost 1mil shaper DPS (986k) with Temp Chains/Blasphemy. The totem is incredibly useful: applies EE, large aoe, 6% heal, curse immunity. I've even included it in the updated levelling guide because it is so powerful.

There is an upgrade path that I haven't added to the guide yet. If you can get Shaper's Presence, then Temp Chains/Blasphemy is free. That gives 35% mana to reserve, which can go towards a Bestiary aura or Flesh and Stone for even more defenses.

думаешь нерфанут этих спектров? жаль фаер итеры не так хорошо чистят. можно тебя попросить сделать эенгейм поб для хк? хотелось бы что-то около 9к лайфа с акробатикой. а то через блок уже надоело играть. дпс просаживается и постоянно его контролить надо

и скажи пожалуйста зачем банка с червями?

kayella, your PoB shows you have 37 unreserved mana, and lvl 20 Holy Flame Totem cost 39 mana. How are you casting it? I'm running into the same problem with similar numbers.

The helmet (Devouring Diadem) give the build Eldrich Battery, this means we can use skill with ES instead of mana, and then we try to reserve all of our mana.

Pros of this alternate build?
- This build replaces the typical early-game Vis Mortis with Kaom's Heart and a Pseudo 6L helmet for your Spectres.
- It provides a significant DPS and survival upgrade from a 5L Vis Mortis, and was significantly cheaper to put together initially than a 6L Vis Mortis.
- At 8.5K health, the only things you'll get one shot by are telegraphed attacks. Any deaths you incur will feel like your fault.
- You'll still have more than enough damage to clear all the content in the game.
- Also pretty good for leveling in the 90s when deaths become more punishing to your exp.


Gear
The helmet + Kaom's Heart are the unique parts of the build.

Lvl 20 Conc Effect/Minion Damage give your Spectres a power boost over the traditional 5L Vis Mortis. Try to get a high life roll if at all possible.

If you can get Socketed Gems deal X% more Elemental Damage, you can turn your Spectres into 7L champions, but it's pretty prohibitively expensive.


Shell out a couple extra chaos if you can find a corruption that's even slightly beneficial.








The rest of the gear is pretty standard late-game fare. Since the whole point of this build is to be beefy, prioritize T1 life rolls everywhere, you can get % maximum life on shield and gloves as well.

If you can get high elemental resistance rolls on most of your gear, you have the option to grab increased % minion damage affixes on amulet/ring/gloves without sacrificing defenses.

Hm. I think I included a -mana craft, but that can be hard to find early in the league (or at least expensive to buy from Treeofdead).

If you're using the wand & shield build, it might be better to leave HFT around level 13 (30 mana cost). I'll update the PoB and guide with this. And remember its only necessary against bosses and tougher rares - you won't need it most of the time.

Hey Kayella, I am quite new to this game and this is my first minion/spectre build and it is amazing. Clear speed and survivability is very good as well as boss damage.

Tried your advice for more defense putting in holy Flame totem / blashpemy but somehow to cast HFT feels so slow compared to Armageddon Brand, so I change back to AB instead of HT, my 4 link is now AB, Blasphemy, Temporal Chains and Blind Support. This is fine as well right? We only need AB to trigger EE?

Also I feel Animate Guardian with Kingmaker gives a huge boost in terms of survivability and the nice bonus with culling strike. Since I change to that, almost never died (Ok I am only at T12/T13 maps yet and lvl 90).

Have 2 questions:

1) Does Spell Damage on weapon increase damage output of Slave drivers?
2) Where do I see the level of my drive slivers raised? Raise Spectre and Desecrate gem both mention that they can raise spectres till level 100, so the limiting factor is the map level you are rising them right? So If I am at a T12 map, then my spectres should be level 79 / 80 correct? Where do I see this? Just wanna be sure.

Making Revenants (and a lot of other spectrable monsters) aggressive doesn't change anything - their aggro radius is already higher than the aggressive value (and we made sure aggressive doesn't set the aggro radius to the new value if it would be lower, since that would be very counterintuitive). That doesn't mean the support will be useless, as it does other things as well, but the aggressive property simply isn't useful for them.
I suspect in terms of spectre builds, Death Mark Support will be the bigger gamechanger.

Explains why most of the reveal has been about skeletons and zombies, not Spectres. I expect it is similar for Slave Drivers.

Deathmark sounds interesting, I assume the clear damage is good enough and the target-fire + more damage for bosses helps.
