replacing to pure spectres only when you can summon 5 spectres, so with a +1 spectres chest with the right links (about 10 ex) and boots with +1 minion gem with life and movement and right links(about 2 ex), a lvl 21/20 raise spectres gem (about 1.5 ex) and also +1 minion gem on wand with a free suffix for trigger spell enchant and the right links (about 2 exalted)

I am in the process of transitioning from the Minion Army build to Pure Spectres and was wondering if it is fine to continue using Frost Auto Scouts. How much am I missing out on by not using the Syndicate Operatives or Crabs?

its not only the spectres, the crabbies have complete different outfit and gems, switching from elemental dmg to physical dmg and support. So only change to crabbies, when you also can buy all the different gems and armour

as usual I started a necro (spectre) and tried to mix Kay and Ghazzy. Unfortunately it seems that I made some mistakes as I die far too often (T13-T14 -- sometimes close to 1-shot). Can someone check my gear and give me some advice (need the "Mistress of Sacrifice" ascendancy and some flasks for sure)? Can't figure out how on earth I can be 1-shot with maxed res and mediocre armour :(

(Playing with SO spectre but could switch if there is something better)

Yeah umm.. your flasks are god awful. I don't know how you have that kind of flasks with the gear you got honestly. The only good flask you have is rumi's and even that doesn't have 20 quality. You could also get yourself a shield with % recovered life on block. Lastly you are not using the immortal call gem setup in your shield that is in the pure spectres build.
Edit: also noticed that you have a wrong large cluster jewel.

never messed around with the flask stuff, it's on my list after finishing the last lab. Agree with the gem setup, gonna change that.

right now I'm playing with the league starter build and at map tier 8 I don't have really issues. Is my next goal to switch to the spectre build, or can I continue the minion army build? I'm quiet enjoying the miniom army, but the spectre build would give me probably more damage.

What's the cheapest way to get 4+ spectres?

From my understanding I should have:

Convoking Wand:
+1 to Level of all Minion Skill Gems
Boots:
+1 to Level of all Raise Spectre Gems
Raise Spectre Gem:
Level 21 & 20% quality

This items should give me a level 25 Raise Spectre gem and my fourth Spectre, or am I wrong? With the additional chest armour I could raise it to max number of 5 spectre?

like i wrote 4 messages ago, only switch to pure spectre when you can affort the gear and 5 spectres. i am not a fan of mixing the starter build with 4 spectres and half spectres half starter gear.. also in spectre build you play with animated guardian and without zombies. Better stick with starter build and 4 spectres (lvl 21/20 gem, wand and boots) and play this till you can switch to 5 spectres and the big animated guardian and the ~10 exalted chest

Thanks for the response. I muste have overlooked your posts on the page before. You're probably right and I'll try to get a +1 wand and stick with 4 spectres for the beginning.

Flasks are super important when it comes to survival and or damage depending on the build. Should fix them asap and then you never have to worry about them again :D other than keep using them all the time ofc :P

The third passive is required, it can be any passive since you don't actually use it but call to the slaughter is the most common one. And it needs to have 8 passives not 9. It costs around 2.5ex but you can quite easily fossil craft it yourself when you buy the base jewel for 1ex. Check craftofexile for best/most cost efficient fossils to use.
