Following firetrap only version of this build. At one point I tested Flamethrower 5L as well, but it felt a bit cumbersome to switch between two trap skills and keep your eye on cooldown.

That extra life you get from Kaom's felt like a necessity, as the only defense you get is from blinding ascendancy skillnode and acrobatics. Like the OP stated, I'd definitely go for Pyromaniac ascendancy node in Merciless lab, as life regen is a big problem. I didn't take it in Merciless and regretted it pretty hard til Uber lab.

At this point, damage wise, 5L firetrap is more than enough for Izaro and Atziri. Will start looking into 6L soon.

You can definitely go with fire trap only.Try to get a good crafted bow later on so you will have insane damage :) Pyromaniac is very curicial so consider using regret points if you can't do Uber lab yet.

There is nothing else to pick instead of pyromaniac so you get that %10 regen anyways.I don't think Tinkerskin is needed if you play careful enough so you won't need that extra healing.Before the Pyromaniac nerf, you wouldn't have that %20 regen all the time anyways so you don't actually need that much regen on most cases.
Even hardcore players don't use Tinkerskin.If you need more survivalability, go for loreweave or a chest with more hp.


I dont have those gloves, so i'm using Tinkerskin right now. Explosives Expert seems very strong, there is 30% crit multi and 30% increased area of effect. And Pyromaniac gives only some hp regen.

So in this build we are healing only 10% from Pyromaniac and by using flask? Or maybe there are some other sources of healing?

what to do with the 6 points from using master sapper anoint? snowforged and firewalker?
is this build smooth clearing blight maps?
Loving the build so far, just getting into early maps with it, and it's shredding bosses and very survivable. Here's my gear so far, gloves hat and shoes all need an upgrade, and I was lucky enough to drop an exalt this league, which netted me a pretty nice 6-link which I essence crafted and also managed to hit +1 gems on



I'd like to try and get a 5 or 6-link body armor moving forward to slot Flamethrower traps into, and I'm definitely wanting the +2 flames enchant for the helmet when I eventually get around to that.

Also considering keeping flamethrower trap in a 4 link and running Kaom's so I can be extra tanky

No, Fire Trap is a Spell not an Attack. It's just a common trash roll on things for this build.
