3.3 ISC Hiero Bladefall 5xTotems, 100% Physical Damage

........................................
I am not playing the physical variant yet this league, the elemental was much stronger so I am updating that to the 3.4 tree first. Links are all below in the 2nd post!

This build uses the Hierophant ascendancy with 5 totems all casting 100% physical bladefall spells. It is utterly devastating to large packs and fairs well against bosses.

More To Come:

Pros:
Spoiler

-good damage, 60k - 150k physical DPS per totem (Depending on kills and buffs)
-good clear speed, great during incursions
-high range of casting
-can do any map mod, physical reflect can be slow
-relatively cheap up to T13 maps
-SAFE GAMEPLAY, hardcore viable with some modifications

Cons:
Spoiler

-slow movement speed
-not great eHP
-no damage boost during long solo boss fights

Bladefall Stats:
Spoiler

This is during a breach

Skill Tree:

PoB Tree:
Spoiler
https://pastebin.com/0fyLmET4

this is to level 30, prioritize defensive nodes first

Spoiler
https://pastebin.com/5bcwU6Kr

this is to level 60, you may want to hold onto some points at level 58 until 61. This will allow you to take all the HP behind Blood Magic as we will be able to use Tukohama's then.

Spoiler

https://pastebin.com/bZXUsUwX

this is to level 95, current as of posting guide

Ascendancy:
Spoiler

This is fairly basic, getting totems early is key to faster leveling. Upon merci and uber lab we want to expand the spell side of things by moving into Arcane Blessing. This will provide some great defense in the form of immunity to status ailment. Which, as you will, see will be up almost all the time.

Gears:
Spoiler

Uniques:
Since we are using Tukohama's Fortress we might as well pick up Blood Magic on the skill tree, it will provide us with a good deal of HP to off set the loss of mana.

The chest is not necessarily best in slot, but provides for adequate defense as well as offense.

The helmet is the same, I picked this one up for a mere 20 chaos.

Currently testing a Worm Essence to grant vitality, discipline, or haste. So far haste feel best, giving that extra cast and move speed is nice.

Recently added Vaal Caress gloves, These provide significant boosts too vaal haste and thus for our cast speed, more on this later.
Spoiler

Rares:

The main goal here is to cap out your elemental resistances, keeping in mind that fire is +1% so 76% total.

For a weapon you will want to try to get a Platinum Kris of at least ilvl 84. It is very important that it is also an Elder base. A perfect weapon would have high physical damage added to spells with increased area damage as well as increased cast speed.
Spoiler

Flasks:

I have yet to run across a flask that really pops out, Silver Flasks are a good option for the increased cast and movement speed.

Spoiler

Jewels:
Spoiler

Unique Jewels:

Spoiler

Tempered Flesh:

It is vital that Tempered Flesh goes into this socket. Doing this will provide a free +40% Critical Strike Multiplier with none of the down sides from the jewel. Coming into the socket using the intelligence nodes allows us to circumvent the downside while capitalizing on all the strength in the area, which is a total of +80. Tempered Flesh can be swapped out for a high end physical damage abyss jewel as it will provide a bit more DPS, but this is a very budget friendly alternative until you get to that point.

Clear Mind provides a great damage increase and because we are using Blood Magic we do not even have to consider the mana reserve aspect.

Rare Jewels:

Your rare jewels will want to prioritize life, cast speed, spell damage (both added flat and percent, critical strike chance or multiplier, and totem damage. The jewels allow for a wide variety of scaling options.

Spoiler

Gems:
Spoiler

Chest BBBRRG:
Spoiler
Bladefall - Spell Totem - Controlled Destruction - Increased Critical Strike Chance\Increased Critical Strike Damage - Concentrated Effect - Brutality.

If you only have a 5 Link leaving out Increased Critical Strike Chance\Increased Critical Strike Damage would be the best option.

Helmet RRGG:
Spoiler
For a movement skill I prefer to use Shield Charge - Faster Attacks - Fortify

I also like to carry around a Charged Dash. This skill makes for short work of some of the traps in Uber Lab and provides a nice way to cross gaps.

Gloves:
Spoiler
With Rare Gloves RRRB:
Spoiler

Of course you will want to have an Immortal Call - CWDT - Increased Duration. However I paired this Ball Lightning to proc Arcane Surge as much as possible.

With Vaal Caress RRBG:
Spoiler
Increased Duration-Vulnerability-Efficacy-Vaal Haste

These gloves provide a significant damage boots for very low price. I bought the set for 10c already corrupted so setting up the sockets cost a bit in vaal with Vorici level 8 bench. The +2 to duration is exploited by every gem in the setup here, coupled with the affix from the gloves this gives Vaal Haste +4 levels. Which results in huge gains to cast speed from the addition of Onslaught upon use. This will of course require you to move your Immortal Call setup, the shield is a very easy spot to color.

Boots BBBR:
Spoiler
In order to generate power charged we can use Orb of Storms - Increased Critical Strike Chance - Power Charge on Crit - Increased Duration. This does a very good of keeping us at 5 charges with very little risk or effort.

Shield RRB:
Spoiler
For a curse, should the enemies still be alive, we use Vulnerability - Increased Duration Lightning Golem

Weapon RBG:
Spoiler

Increased Duration - Vaal Haste - Efficacy

This is a nice spot for a buffed vaal haste, linked with increased duration and efficacy you get over 7 seconds of up time.

Golem:
Spoiler

For leveling an ice golem is probably your best bet, however, once you get lots of critical strike chance on your gear there is more DPS gain from a lightning golem. If you're worried about defense a chaos golem is helpful, but the stone golem will synergize best with vitality if that is active.

Bandits:
Spoiler
Either Help Alira or kill all, depends on your gameplay style and desire. I helped Alira for the extra damage and defense.

Corrupting Gems:
Spoiler
This will be a comprehensive list in order of the gems you will want to corrupt for increased damage. Where possible 21/23% would be ideal but not required. I recommend leveling these gems in your secondary weapons until you are ready for a vaal spree. I do all of one type until I get 21.

1. Bladefall
2. Spell Totem
3. Increased Critical Strike Chance\Increased Critical Strike Damage
4. Vulnerability
5. Concentrated Effect, Brutality, Controlled Destruction

Per many requests, I have put some time into making an elemental version of this build, and it is POWERFUL. I should also mention this variant requires very high dexterity, 212 to be exact. It is possible to attain however using a Fluid Motion jewel in the right spot.

Going with a full fire conversion, with great gearing it was able to reach around 1.2 million Shaper DPS(243K per totem), 2.1 million clearing DPS(423K per totem). With more reasonably priced gear the damage is still almost double the physical only version. It is not what I would consider a league starter by any means. But it is strong enough to chooch through end game content with ease.

This is the stats standing in hideout with sub-optimal gearing:
Spoiler

PoB Link:
Spoiler

https://pastebin.com/xkiU4RGA

Contains God tier gear as well as more attainable gear in the item load out!

The skill tree is very similar, some cast speed nodes were dropped in favor of the Breath/Heart of Flames ring in the witch area. Avatar of Fire is main effective change and we were already right outside of the node.

3.4 PoB Skill Tree and Gear Progression:
Spoiler

This is what I have done so far, consider it a work in progress. The gear is included in the PoB link.

Level 1-10: https://pastebin.com/B7dS1Pby
Level 11-20: https://pastebin.com/TbD9bUid

Level 61-70: https://pastebin.com/TBCZZSr9
Level 71-80: https://pastebin.com/RiWB2aR2
Level 81-90: https://pastebin.com/hMnHVjPR

Gear Changes:
Spoiler

The gear changes are also minimal.

Due to the fact that we already have blood magic and are not reserving any life Malachai's Awakening helm gives a good deal of flat damage to spells. 100% of the added fire and cold spell damage is counted, and 50% of the lightning,

These gloves are decent, no real need for fating to Hrimburn as we ONLY deal fire damage now. This converts the remaining 50% of cold damage to fire.

Main Hand

For a main hand weapon you will want either and Apex or Harpy Rapier for the 35% crit multi. It will need to be a Shaper base item, preferably ilvl 80+. It will need to be rolled for extra damage as fire AND cold, 40% being a perfect roll. If possible pick up any resistances that are missing, you can also free up 1 skill point by landing a +dexterity on the weapon.

Skill Gem Changes:
Spoiler

The skill gems are what are going to give you the most power in this variant.

Ring G:
Spoiler

Swapping out the Haste gem for Hatred gives us a significant damage boost because all that extra cold damage is 100% converted to fire.

Gloves BBRG:
Spoiler

Efficacy - Flammability - Increased Duration - Vaal Haste

This setup is a minor change from the physical version, just swapping flammability in for vulnerability. For a Vaal corruption you would still want +2 duration to buff all gems in the link.

Chest BBBRRG:

Spoiler

Combustion - Controlled Destruction - Concentrated Effect - Bladefall - Cold to Fire - Spell Totem

The socket colors do not need a change, only the gems. The added damage gained from Combustion and Cold to Fire is great.

Flasks:
Spoiler

Now with flasks!

Taste of Hate is dual purpose, granting defense and 100% converted cold to fire extra damage. The Overflowing Chalice is mostly singular in purpose, I wanted to incorporate a sulfur flask for the 40% damage and this one seemed like a fitting choice.

Just ran into this guy playing the build to help me clear an ele reflect map. Great clear speed, crushed all the mods and the boss. Looks amazing!
Awesome clear speed and a very safe build it wrecks everything on its path xD

great job
You say HC viable with some adjustments, what changes would those be?

Changes to the ascendancy tree would be my first alteration. Dropping Arcane Blessing and Illuminated Devotion in favor of Sanctuary of Thought and Divine Guidance, this of course would force you to remove blood magic and the Tukohama. You could now use almost any spell to proc arcane surge to keep that buff.

Upon making those changes I would stack mana on as much gear as and run the highest Clarity possible in the Essence Worm, of course dropping Haste.

On the defensive side of things you would have about 4,400 HP, 1,300 ES, and around 2000 mana with a decent setup. Offensively each totem around 67K DPS, which is still enough damage for pretty much all content, save uber Elder which I have not yet done with this build anyways.
