Meh. I already have one in WoW and all I had to do was farm for it during Brewfest.
About that, I just had a minor epiphany. I would rather pay for the opportunity to get something (like this pet) by playing a game than flat out buy it with cash. Even stashing the $15/mo I'd spend on WoW will get me a cosmetic suit here I can use on one toon, what, every 4-5 months? Not happening. There are two types of POE players:
1) Those who want to walk uphill both ways barefoot on broken glass wearing a blindfold 2) F*cking noobs I identify as transnational Chinese. May I have access to their QOL features, please? | |

If they could pay their developers and artists and others with your playtime, you might have a point. But since they can't, they will sell MTX, and some people will play for free rather than supporting the game. That's just the way it'll be.
