Ele hit is prob going to be best bet to get the stacks started. you would probably run avatar of fire with a vinktar to proc your tc on shock from herald of lightning?

Was messing with trees and ele hit setups - ele hit has some beefy damage up front and doesn't need a helm enchant, both big pros. However, you lose a lot of scaling with HH inc phys and phys added as ele mods, as well as losing elemental ailment options - your amulet is taken so you can't use yoke or anything like that, locking you into 1 status option. Freeze and chill for safety seems very attractive, AOF could be solid too with pyre for corpse destruction, but losing those freezing/chilling options does hurt.

Another thing is you lose a lot of possible chaos damage scaling with occultist/flasks, and a little bit from zerphis. I think the biggest con is losing the status options - cold loses a lot of damage since AoF is easy and close, lightning is lol, and fire has no defensive options.

Also getting accuracy with this path is actually a bitch haha - I guess rings are free to get accuracy, but it's also hard to squeeze in the % acc nodes. Maybe with lioneyes fall + dagger/claw acc nodes next to the ele pen.



Currently going to try lioneyes glare for TS since I hit a solid craft on the TS hubris I was sitting on - losing the curse effect will hurt but I'll give it a shot. I have a TC hubris too but I doubt I'll roll it as well as this TS one.

But I want to revisit ele hit again as well. Still not sure about life vs hybrid (since HH adds tons of ES) versions. Mana sustain is tough too. The tree seems to be most efficient for CI since unnatural instinct pathing + curse ES and occultist nodes with the new rares can comfortably get you 7-8k with kaoms roots/shackles.

Toxic rain seems interesting but the damage from rain would come from pod explosions, since the first hits almost never shotgun unless your target is kitava-big - the idea seems to be 'kill it before it approaches you', and so TR seems to fall short.

God damn it, I was getting myself ready to possibly build an ele hit character but after watching the vids I am really considering building this character with my current pile of currency...

How is this build fairing currently? Also, how is KB doing? I know the recent changes were a small nerf, but is it even noticeable with all these buffs?

Now I need to figure out how to level a witch (I have never played one).
So as far as I can tell leveling this character as the finished build would be horrible, so should I do something like Poet's Pen? And if so, at what point should I swap? Are there certain nodes that you would consider to be less important without me dissecting the build?

By new vaal skill changes do you mean how duration modifiers now affect soul gain prevention? Has anyone tried reduced duration instead of increased so that soul gain prevention is shorter?
