I have done around 100 red maps by now, not once did I run out of mana. Can't look at your build right now, I am on mobile, but you can check out my setup and see if you find a difference. But I think I did nothing special for mana sustain.
I can't actually imagine how you can run out of mana. I shoot 1-2 times per 4-5 screens when I clear T16 maps with my Quill Rain. Mirage Archer does the rest while I just run around at lightspeed. And even when I don't use Mirage Archer, one shot for 2 screens is all it takes. Ok, I do have +2 chain.
That reminds me, if Rigwald's is too expensive for you, get a +1 chain quiver. Huge clear speed boost. Doen't need any other good stats, you just use it for clearing anyway. And we have more than enough damage.
Yea, I haven't been clearing like you. I haven't let the mirage archer do any work, so now that I've done that, I'm good.
How's Chain instead of Mirage Archer for clearing trash?
Worse. Maybe if it is your only chain it could come close, but as we get one free plus one from a corrupted quiver if you want, Mirage Archer is higher clearspeed as it just kills everything while you run around.
Looking for advice on where to spend my currency next. I am currently buying gear for the char so I haven't even started leveling it yet. I currently have: Yoke, Pyre, CoB, Chin-Sol (no links or sockets), starkonja & both combat focus jewels.
My plan was to use a Tab until mapping, so I'm wondering what my best option would be weapon/armor wise. Should I spend the currency & get a 5L loreweave & then I don't have to worry about sockets in the Chin-Sol? Or should I rock the Tab & eventually use a Kaom's & then use 5L Chin & a second 5L weapon? Quill is obvious choice, but since I don't have a Frost nor the currency for it, should I do a cheap 6L shortbow with +2 gems until I can get the helm & then swap to quill?
Also, when crafting the +gems bow, it can be fire, cold or lightning right? It doesn't just have to be +2 fire gems?

Clearing with Chin Sol is miserable imho. The highest priority should be a 6L Quill Rain. It is relatively cheap and enough to kill every boss up to T15 and your clearspeed will be great while you farm up for the more expensive stuff.
The next buy should be a Kaoms in my opinion. Easily beats Loreweave this league because of the amount of chaos and phys damage this league has (negates the biggest upside of Loreweave, 80% max res).
After that, Frostferno and then Xoph's. Don't forget to get Avatar of Fire as soon as possible. I know it sucks pathing up there while leveling, but if you level with Ele. Hit AoF should be the third thing you get, right after the two jewel sockets for the two Combat Focus'.
If you at some point struggle with Single Target, get a 5L Chin Sol, but it should be ok with a QR.

Interesting, thanks for the input. I luckily found a 2 socket light poacher today, so hopefully that sells & I will have about 3ex. I guess I will look into a QL for now. 5L will have to suffice I think though, because wouldn't it be better to spend like 40c on a 5L & then get a frostweave, instead of spending all my currency & having no frostweave? Looks like a 6L quill is 2.4ex atm.

Mhh, I never bought a Quill Rain. I buy either a 6-link short bow or Porcupine cards and then chance/scour it. Was more cost effective last 2 leagues when QR was only 2ex so it should be this league too.
But as I said above, a 6L QR is enough to kill every boss up to T15... So you will only need a Frostferno later on. Your call I guess. But QR and Kaoms come way above Frostferno on my list to get when I explain this build to someone because Frostferno does nothing for clearing. And to farm currency you will need to clear a lot.
