Crashing with molten strike on certain mob groups after they die. My game would freeze for a second and then crash would pop. PathofExile_64x.exe has stopped working. Etc. Frustrating.

I have not still be able to play a single minute!!! Game crashes for me even before that i have time to insert my password (path of exile 64 exe stopped working), and even if i run 32 bit client, it's always the 64 bit one that starts, and my game crashes INSTANTLY
Please help
Hey Radees.
Sorry you're having probs but there're a few things you can try to get a playable game.
1. Graphics Options
- disable multithreading (this one worked for me)
- change directx to dx9ex or dx9 (changes the client to the 32-bit version of the game)
2. Sound Options
- set channel count to Low
Good luck and may we see you in Wraeclast!
Peace.
Hi friend, thanks by heart for your suggestions :) Unfortunately, game crashes so fast (under 1 second most of the times, under 2 if i am lucky) that i don't even have the time to modify the options :( This must be solved by devs :(
I have a normal client (no steam one) and a very low end pc (athlon II X2, 2 gig ram, geforce gt240) :(
I don't ask to play incursion, but at least to play again my beloved lvl 85 hierophant :(
Hmm....
ok, depending on your version of windows (win 7, 8 or 10) it's possible to run the client in compatibility mode. However, I'm wondering if you're already running a 32 bit version of windows.
If you are then using dx9ex setting should use the appropriate executable.
Now, as you cannot change the options in-game you're going to have to change them by hand which means editing production_Config.ini.
How easy or awkward this is will depend on your computer abilities but assuming you're reasonably familiar with Windows, this is what you need to do:
1. locate production_Config.ini and make a backup copy (usually in my documents\my games\Path of exile)
2. open the file in your chosen text editor (usually notepad but you might have something better)
3. search for and make the following changes:
directx_version=9Ex
engine_multithreading_mode=disabled
channel_count=low
4. save ;-)
Now start the client and cross your fingers!
Best of luck.

How about fixing the blatant performance degradation?
This one was the worst patch ever made... did you paid someone to this bad programming lines?

IT WOOOOOORKS!!!!!! THAAAAAAANKS!!!! :)
I simply suspected that was a problem related to default dx11, but didn't knew how to solve it :) In production_Config.ini the multithreading was already disabled, and channel count was already setted to low. But the DX were setted to 11 -.-' Noob devs' choice -.-'
Changed DX and all works :) Thanks my friend, giga six-linked HUG for you :) The world should be more filled of persons like you :)

Hey Radees,
That's brilliant! Really pleased to know the game works for you now.
I'm hearing good things about the new league so I'm also glad that you'll have the opportunity to check it out.
Have fun in Wraeclast!

Am I the only one having hard time using the cold snap trap? Did the mechanics changed? It is not working with multiple and cluster trap support gem. The linked gems are Trap Cold snap Multiple traps or cluster trap. I gave up and had to use spell cascade instead. Was that a bug or new mechanic?

How many frenzy charges do you have when trying to throw the trap? I may be wrong but since Multi/Cluster traps track separate instances of the skill in 3.3.* I believe you need as many frenzy charges as the number of traps you want to throw. So for cluster e.g. you would need 4 frenzy charges to fully utilise the support gem.
