I checked in POB that if I change my gem Level and boots enchant, DPS is still half of your original items.

I struggle keeping the power charges up (from just 1 passive node) and because of that think both taking +1 power charge nodes and Shimmeron seems worse than a rare wand and other nodes. Any thoughts on this?

Use Jaws of Agony on a weapon swap to stack up the power charges before a fight if you went Shimmeron.

Hi there ,playing this build with minor variations here and there ,like since a tinker dropped for me I decided to go for eb and mom

While I was testing dps in pob ,what I saw was with a divinarus and heartbreaker equipped with power charges all selected ,I'm getting more dps with those two that with dual shimmerons equipped

I'm trying to understand the mechanics here why are the shimmerons considered better ?

Gear wise I'm no where close to end game ,doing a bit of mf ATM ,if that's the issue let me know ,or if I'm doing something else wrong

You are doing something wrong i guess.
With my Pob. Divinarius + Heartbreaker with top rolls = 195k boss damage.
2 shimmerons = 348k
