If there is a yes to both questions, I prefer to go sleep normally and wake up early next day to start farming.

Playing in France too.
As long as you connect 1-2 hours before launch, you will download the patch in time. (As others mentionned).
Regarding personnal queue experience: If you login 15 minutes before launch, you will be fine. You can create a character, wait 10 minutes and come back.
BUT the servers are always shifty during the first few hours. Emergency patch happens sometimes, but they are a low hindrance because queue is usually way shorter (5 minutes max).

Exactly, we get 3 hours before start time to download and install patch 3.3.0. As to having to wait in a queue to get in and play, welcome to the 21st century of on-line gaming.
