[3.6] Death's Oath Trickster - ALL CONTENT | Tanky | Budget | Fast Clear | Lag-Free
" The guide says "as high as you reasonably can get" for chaos resist. So what did I do? 75% that resist!....Obviously I went a bit overboard because I took both my rings off it's at 34% and I still don't take any damage. So I need to find the sweet spot for where my gear/life regen is and how much I actually need. |

I have another question.
Why use despair aura with blasphemy if we want to use witchbrew anyway? It would free amulet slot I quess? Last edited by kileras12#3457 on Sep 10, 2018, 11:42:15 AM

Going to give this a whirl after golemancer needs 4 ex to complete my build now ...
When would you swap from leveling skills/items to death's oath? I assume when you can 'tank' the negative health debuff ? Or later? |

" You can do it at 62, i had no issues |
|
" how do you like Unshattered Will? It looks like it could help on Single target and resists freeing up rings for chaos dmg etc. Last edited by kaiserluger#7263 on Sep 10, 2018, 12:19:34 PM

How do peole feel on hex Master? This helps with despair and blasphemy/temporal i assume. Which helps only 10% to effect but more to AOE.
Vs Sovereignty which increases aura AOE and non curse effects. Seems like that would help Oath only and not Blight/Despair. |

" I like it a lot! I think its helping with melting the bosses a bit quicker with blight. Plus the blue floaty boi is good company. XD I am currently trying to roll better chaos rings with one unset for arctic armour too. Hit 91 today and still happy enough. Managed to roll a few lvl 21 gems seemed to push the damage up a lot. I will get the rest when currency/luck allows. |

anyone running a quartz flask or CwdT+phase run setup? i feel like perma phasing could be insane for us in the mine.
|
|
Not running phase run because we run shield charge + culling + fortify + faster attacks. I feel like it would be waste of gem slots to run phase run too since we go through enemies as well as cull them with shield charge.

Spoiler
" There's some discussion about Unshattered Will on like, page 11 or so, but the tl;dr is that it gives way less stats for a periodic buff that isn't too interesting. The extra armour, ES, and elemental barrier are HUGE. Run either/or though, or a rare with some neat Shaped/Elder mods. The build is flexible as long as you're tanky. " Since 100% of our damage is Chaos DoT, having ANY Despair downtime hurts our damage more than we'd like. Adding to that the fact that we have no room for flask nodes or recharge, it's not feasible. Witchfire Brew is just Chaos Lion's Roar. We don't care about the effect, but rather the numbers boost (40% more Damage). " Order does not matter, but colours do. 3 green sockets is restrictive in that there are only 2 green support gems we can ever run (Void Manipulation, and Swift Affliction coupled with Arcane Surge). Blue sockets enable us in that we can always stack Increased/Concentrated Effects if we need. So you got lucky in a very unlucky way I suppose. " Spoiler alert: at high levels, we don't even cap chaos resistance. At level 98 I had around 20%. High life total + regen + killing stuff always and forever renders the degen nonexistant. I've seen the videos on Reddit, as well, and I'll admit that the Grey Spire probably makes clearing Tier 4s a dream. If it had life on it, perhaps, but as it stands even twin Dark Seers gives us better value. " Taking chaos resistance around that skill node wheel means either pathing through both sides, or giving up 24% damage. We can get better damage mitigation (the kind that works for all damage - not just our own) by taking more life and life regen instead. The (sad) truth is that Chaos resistance is underpowered across all items and nodes. Rings that can roll upwards of 60% to an elemental resistance cap at 42% chaos. The implicit mods on amethyst jewelry is lower than the elemental equivalents, and so on. Staying above 0% is important, but yields diminishing rewards when we try to build specifically around it. " Matters less than you think; I've never kept a specific ratio in mind. The only "sudden death" situations are when you're facing a single enemy and cannot kill with Patient Reaper. Coupled with Blights pitifully low mana cost, we're never out of mana for long. Soul of Arakaali mitigates a good deal of poisons, bleeds and ignites, which tend to hurt regen the most. |
