so the gem links for this build only drop 2 mines at a time with the included helmet... i feel that it is much more effecient to drop the totem and run 3 to 4 mines at a time per cast by using minefield support over trap and mine damage support... the trap and mine damage maybe for a boss fight with the spell totem so you can move quicker?....

im wondering if im right in dropping that gem to socket minefield support or if there is a different one i should drop

Minefield places 2 additional mines but it has a 36% less damage multiplier. So the actual damage multiplier for Minefield (accounting for the 20% chance to place an additional mine from Demolitions Specialist) is 0.64 * 4.2 / 2.2 = 1.22. A 22% more multiplier isn't that big compared to a support such as Elemental Focus, which gives 49% more damage (minus some for the loss of shock).

I think Minefield is fine for clearing. The extra mines can help create more chains for clearing big packs. But for single target, Minefield will not be the biggest damage boost available. Minefield also has a high multiplier so you will drain mana faster, although you will get more ES regen because you detonate more mines.
can you farm t16 with 5L and if so what gem should i skip

Yes, just drop Elemental Focus.
New guide update:

- Gem links reworked in light of the instant skill changes. CWDT setup trimmed down to a single 4 link, with CWDT Detonate Mines no longer recommended and Phase Run now manual cast.
- New section for Energy from Within and Unnatural Instinct.
- Added 3.4 character to the archive.
- Other minor tweaks.
Hello, is this build still good to go for 3.5 release? I'm personally drawn to this build because I want to farm a 6L Shavronne's for my standard play.

Question about Discipline.

" Discipline provides bonus flat energy shield. Vaal Discipline allows a short duration of energy shield recharge even while taking damage. One of either Wrath or Discipline needs to be linked with Blood Magic in order to activate low life, depending on if you prefer to have extra mana or extra life."

I assume you are leaving the choice up to us on rather we want Vaal or Normal. Normal gives a constant ES boost while Vaal can give a bigger boost for a short time. How bad is our mana-pool if we choose to run Discipline > Vaal?

Another question I have is how much life does this build have? I'm looking on PoE Ninja to builds similar to this and they are running roughly 1500-2k life with 4-8K ES and using Pain Attunment. I understand this is probably very top tier gear, but when I hear LL I usually think like below 1k Life.

Also have you looked into running MoM at all?

I'll also provide a link to the PoENinja search result I used. Shavronne's Wrapping/Arc/Remote Mine.

https://poe.ninja/challenge/builds?item=Shavronnes-Wrappings&skill=Arc&sort=depth&arc-support=Remote-Mine

Thank you for any information you can provide, I plan on running Arc Mines for 3.5, but this will be my first attempt at LL. I stayed away from it back when everyone was using the Vaal Keystone that leeched for you with LL.

Yes. There may be some updates once the 3.5 patch notes come out.

The Vaal Discipline gem grants the regular Discipline aura by default, so it's like two skills in one gem. We use both. The Discipline aura is always on, reserving mana/life and passively granting flat ES. We can trigger the Vaal Discipline skill in a pinch once it has charged up souls.

The game considers us to be on low life when our current life is less than 35% of the total. The total amount of life we have does not matter. As long as we reserve over 65% of our life, we will get the 30% more damage from Pain Attunement. Right now my character has about 1.5k life, but when you're reserving most of your life it doesn't really matter how much you have.

With Mind over Matter, 30% of damage is taken from life before mana. Since we're an ES build, MoM won't take effect until all our ES is gone, at which point we're probably already dead.
Awesome, thank you for the reply. I'll be waiting for the patch notes, hopefully not long now less than 7 days to go. :)

Level 4: Frost Bomb
3 Link: Freezing Pulse + Onslaught + Arcane Surge

That should be Frostbomb instead of Freeze pulse and Frost bomb is blue not green :)

And add Lightning Spire Trap in Act 3 (lvl 28). Its gg for single target -> trap & mine dmg + ele focus + controlled.

Good catch on the Frost Bomb color. I'll add Lightning Spire Trap.

I usually use an unlinked Frost Bomb to blow up packs and Freezing Pulse to finish off any remaining monsters. Do you prefer to link up the Frost Bomb and use an unlinked Freezing Pulse or are you suggesting dropping Freezing Pulse entirely and just relying on Frost Bomb?

Most shadow racers use frost bomb in the 3L and dont use freeze pulse at all. Its enough to blow up packs, especially once you get added light in prison.

Heres a run of Tie, pretty much the best racer next to DnD atm.

I did multiple runs myself testing different things and frost bomb is enough for clear & run.

If you kill a boss you swap to explosive trap - lesser poison (weapon swap, you keep the G-G dagger and the dagger you get from Hillock for the swap).

Most important things are B-B-G and B-B-B wands and movespeed boots. Rest isnt as important. Just watch the VOD if you want, its pretty interesting how fast you can go with the build.

Lets see what patch notes bring, most of it can be null in 1 or 2h :D
