Using a Vaal skill globally prevents vaal soul income for 6 seconds. You basically need to farm enough souls in 4 seconds and recast to keep the benefit. I imagine some builds can keep up soul eater this way but not most.

Soul eater doesn't refresh duration. If you have soul eater and you get it again it starts a new instance of it. So no matter what you will lose souls after duration ends

The helmet seems... interesting. WI blood magic helmet?
The boots (especially the upgraded ones) seem really meh. Though the non upgraded ones can probably be used for blood magic character leveling. The other ones? No idea. If they gave attack and cast speed instead of dodge chance, then they would've been much better really.

If you did not tell me which one is the upgrade l, I would not be able to tell. I don’t know how to abuse these, I’ll just have to wait for someone to tell me.
