Too bad most of the beauty of PoE is wasted. Post your best shots.

This is all the beauty POE will ever need.

Too bad we'll never see it again.

on the contrary my friend, i looked up various overlay solutions, all of which were terrible, so just like the old saying, if you want a job done properly, you gotta do it yourself... so i wrote an application to detect when PoE is running, and at what state it is in (does not hook into the game whatsoever, all external, so don't ban me GGG) so unlike the other "solutions" out there, my program runs on startup, does not use any resources (aside from a couple kb of ram), it will only display the overlay when theres something to overlay, if you see streamers running overlays you will see it hangs around during zoning etc, mine hides overlay during these times, and it is pretty seamless :) i intend on updating the graphic at some point to further improve coverage of the existing globes and better quality gfx but the engine itself is awesome in it's current state :) i will be continuing development on it also

see it in action: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ml7j5IWeGpg

and before you ask - this is not available for download but if enough interest is shown, i may contact GGG to check out the legalities behind selling this code for a small fee, then you have your MTX globe girls, but as things stand currently, it's wrote by me, for me :)

hello good sir, i own a lan place with about 50 computers, how much would it cost for the use in every computer?

What's QoP?

Oh, sorry. QoP = Quality of Play. If the quality of the artwork is this good (and it is) then if GGG could get QoP up to the smooth level of how D3 plays (and in parties no less!), silky smooth with hardly any lag and even with a clusterfuck of animations in mob packs (never any frame rate crashes), then GGG could/would easily be the best arpg currently available. I'd have zero trouble getting my 2 BFFLs to play in a summer trio party if QoP was as great as the artwork. But sadly poor performance has plagued PoE forever. Significantly better than PoE:The Desync Years versions were but not nearly where PoE needs to be for smooth party play.

Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration.

Thanks for explaining, Arrowneous. It is a mismatch, yes. Hopefully the influx of money recently will be put to good use with performance upgrades.

You mentioned artwork? The way the pictures in the haunted mansion change when you pass close to them is something else. Somehow, the mirrors are creepier because they don't change... but might.

This

and kids to kids with Uncle Elder

Also the scorch marks and ripped furniture...

A bit static but even if one person says "oh, I didn't notice this!", or a new person thinks they might want to explore it themselves, I'm happy.

I couldn't get one of those temple monsters that have "ghost" images in their wake. Moving up to action shots!
Meanwhile most mtxs are DARK/BLACK and there are many maps/areas that are also dark/black...should i remind you /ggg and players/ that we are humans!? We are not spiders or something else that can see in the dark. Yes, i think this and some other games are kinda wasted -amazing art but in the dark is like shit in daylight.
BUT...lets not forget those meta builds and their fans who are all about blood&explosions -to me it seems like they dont care about the beauty of the game so maybe ggg should make it like Minecraft and kids will be happy again+it could save us dozen gigabytes of files. LUL
Slow down for a minute to enjoy the beauty around us.
Wow! Super nice screen shot of a creature phase moving. Incursions are so short and hectic I've not tried to run any zoomed in. Maybe now at level 82 if I go back and run Blood Aqueduct (level 63 zone) it will be a no risk of dieing incursion run and I can zoom in and see what great artwork is hiding in plain sight.

This is awesome.

I wish my build was more screenshot-friendly. I tend to make screens for memory, like photos in real life, but won't have many this time.

Some Shaper freeze moments are great, too.
The Bother progress: 11%

You don't even imagine how much harm you've caused. I'm not sure I'll live long enough to finish "The Bother". You're one of my murderers. You will never get my forgiveness unless you make up for what you've done.

Thanks :) Yes, please do. This one was in a Temple, and has been something I wanted to capture as it moves so fast. It reminds me a little of the Angel of Death at the end of Raiders of the Lost Ark, and I'm wondering if it's intentional.

The Incursions are usually too fast - there's some things I've thought to capture but -- oops, missed it.

Glad you like it. I can relate. Screenshots are even worse than Beast Netting XD

Maybe share one all the same?

This was the monster the other shots came from. He was a model subject, being a nice combo of not easily killed and not able to chunk out my life overly.

It's good to see that the Oriath docks are full of life now:

Lilly and Weylam are as stoic and salty as ever about the increased dock traffic:

My Kiwi seems to be keenly interested in Lilly.
I wonder if the Skirmish quiver can scare a few creatures with its glowing eyes :)
