Bone Helmet is 40% increased damage, not 40% more damage. A good one is still likely to be your best option, but its overall impact on your dps at high level won't be that much; it's certainly not going to be worth equipping a badly rolled one a lot of the time.

Just from tree and gear you're likely to be somewhere in the vicinity of 400% increased minion damage, leaving the helm at more like a 10% more damage rather than 40%. YMMV depending on gear and build, of course.

This has got to be one of the most fun builds I've played since I started, probably since I've been funding the entire build myself and it feels so satisfying when you hit that next milestone towards your build.

I do have a question though. I'm starting to get into late-game content and was thinking about getting a 6L Pledge or Vis soon, but I was wondering if we should be 6Linking the skeletons or spectres first.

Skeletons come always first, else you will get problems with the skeletons union.
Spectres are "just" a bosskiller and even shaper can be done with spectres on a 5L

I'm currently playing a slight different variation but I'd still like to present my question:
Would it not be better to put your skeletons on a 6-link chest, put your spectres on a 4 link helm w/ minion damage/+2 gem/burning damage, and equip 2 90%+ increased minion damage wands? Would this not be more optimal?

My build works on the nice thing that you get a 6L + Level 30 Spell Echo for instant skeleton army per cast. Of course there are other ways to work with this and a bone helmet with 2-3 minion positive bonuses would be a way too. With those shaper and elder items with minion damage might be a nice thing too but I didn't get my hands on any of those to test if those are actually better or not.

If you ask for help you need to un-hide your char tab.

But all in all. Pledge 6L + Vis Mortis 6L and rest Life + Resistances and you are done.
Nothing fancy really needed. Super easy.

This is a huge work in progress and I'm going to refrain from posting my gear because it's hardly optimal atm. Here's some video game play at lvl 80 for the people that mentioned they wanted to see how the build functions in maps.

Gear since I've been working on this.



I plan on removing the cull from the arc combo and putting my next four points into doom cast and dual cursing ele weakness/temp chain.

Anyone else been giving this setup a go want to share their experience or feedback? OP have any update as to how your progress is coming along?
