[3.4] Teleports Behind You - Poet's Pen Lightning Warp & Arc, MF / Facetank t16 / Shaper / U. Elder

First Poet's Pen build. Absolutely amazing map clear and boss killer (with weapon swap). The most fun I've had with a build. I've been wanting to try other builds, but nothing really seems as fun and viable as this one. A bit squishy for deep delves (I'm at like 300 depth), but as long as you constantly attack you shouldn't get hit much.

Also a first time Shaper attempt and kill deathless! I've seen a lot of random videos of people killing Shaper so it wasn't hard to know what mechanics to watch out for. I farmed all of the fragments myself, and I think some of the guardians are actually harder than Shaper.

My gear is pretty good, but I'm lazy so some things aren't optimized. I think I spent about 6-7ex on this build. I'd link my gear, but I don't know how :P

Anyone running mark of shaper+elder essence worm with wrath+clear mind+wrath watchers eye? I wanna do it but am not sure how much survivability issue I would suffer. Maybe I will run power charge on hit support in chest and do orb of storm with Warlord mark? And maybe Acuity? The resist gonna be hard to cap though lol...

Already killed shaper+guardians and normal elder, but I think my survivability sucks a bit. Concerning dps also I don't know if it's ok for my build and level since poet pen dps is not very clear to compute (to me)

Hi all, respec to this build from Blade Vortex. I feel its roughly the same power level, but I like with my Blade vortex one, I just feel to squichy to tackle the high tier maps and bosses, like above tier 12. Fuckers one shot me suddenly, I am doing fine not being hit and stuff, and then boom. dead.

Any one with some tips on how to get more survivability on my char ?

lightning warp next to the group of monsters, not inside the group, that helps me alot while mapping. however bosses still oneshot me sometimes :((

Hey, you should think about a loreweave for some bosses and time your stipnite flask properly.
How high is your eHP?
Maybe you can look at my gear and find something there. I can facetank a lot, even minotaur with not to heavy mods, but all maps till 15 are just running and not caring at all.

Hey, you should think about a loreweave for some bosses and time your stipnite flask properly.
How high is your eHP?
Maybe you can look at my gear and find something there. I can facetank a lot, even minotaur with not to heavy mods, but all maps till 15 are just running and not caring at all.

so basically you say: get 2 10ex+ ventor's and nice boots and gloves.

Current Gear


It's been a fun build so far, I've modified it a bit through a few things:

1. Went double curse with ele weakness (linked to HoT and assasin's mark linked to Frenzy) for a massive boost in DPS. Ammu with +1 curse corruption would be best but you can't really get a choir with it unless you fork up 40+ ex.

2. Went with a pair of Corrupted Voidbringers with +2 aoe gem corruption and an Empower to get a mega-juiced HoT. A pair of Atziri gloves would be better but getting a decent corruption pair of Atziris is too expensive. This was fairly cheap.

3. Went with a Pen with Power Charge generation corruption to ensure power charges are always up.

4. Went for a HoT Mana reservation reduction for the enchant since I didn't really need to use lightning ball to kill up to T15/Elder T16 and wanted the extra mana for MOM. The +1 arc chain enchant is too expensive IMO.

The build could scale even further with a nice pair of corrupted atziri's acuity, +1 arc Mind of the Council enchant, Elder Berek's + Shaper ring, increased damage corruption on Impulsa's, Unnatural Instinct jewel on the right of the scion wheel, etc. (Most ideas gathered from other players).

The build is definitely on the squishy side, tho. At this point, I feel like I have way too much damage and should probably sacrifice up to 50% of it in favour of more tankiness. It is funny to melt T15 bosses without the weapon swap tho with an arc average hit of 320k :P
