[3.3] Pure Skeleton Warriors Summoner, 1.9M Shaper DPS (Videos Inside)

After playing around with vaal skeletons I think they are very good for regular mapping. Not so good for elder guardians, shaper, etc.

Currently I have found that best setup for me is vaal skeletons with supports that work for them:
20/20 vaal skeletons > melee splash > minion dmg > melee physical damage > minion speed > faster attacks

Problem is multistrike doesn't work with vaal skills so it's a lot of wasted damage so I replaced with faster attacks. I settled on minion speed, because when you summon vaal skeletons they wipe things out very fast and it's better they run quickly so you can get 2-3-4-5 screens cleared with one cast. And best part is the skill is refresh by the time it expires if density is good. Helps a ton with abyss, breach, beyond...

For big bosses I'm gonna flat out set up a second armor with:
21/20 skeletons > multistrike > minion damage > melee physical damage > maim > empower

This boosts their hp and the single target goes through the roof to something like 3-4mil, more if I pop vaal haste. But I lose AoE, so it's really only for fat targets that you wanna burn down quick. Terrible for mapping since you really need that splash damage in there to kill packs. Another thing is that during hard boss fights zombies can die, and I replaced zombie with vaal skeletons on the bar. So with the swap of the armor the vaal skill goes away and I get zombies back on the bar.

I was very skeptical about vaal skeletons because I never really had them linked properly, but now that I do it's a very nice 'ultimate' that you can drop on something. And dropping some damage from regular skeletons in favour of movement doesn't feel bad any more because you still have your nuke. I use vaal haste too, and regular skeletons from 20/20 and this speed setup still get more damage then the single target version, so I have that too.

They definitely changed meta for summoners, so many more options for optimising.
Is it better to used the Femur (+2 minion gems) or a yellow staff with (+1xx% minion damage) that can dropped in Temple ?

Can anyone tell me what the best gems are in order for Summon Skeleton? I only have a 4 link at the moment and would like to know which support gems to prioritize. Same for 5 link when i have one of those drop. Thanks in advance.
I think I found the source of lag:

Femurs of the Saints issue:
With Summon Skeletons, this staff will cause hefty lag spikes due to minion stat recalculations.

I guess when you pop vaal skeletons things turn to shit...
can someone explain why we pick commander of darkness instead of puppet master ? I'm new to this kinda thing.

Because of the resistances ...

Why do you use such shitty flask and then invest so much tree nodes into flask?

This throws me.

Also why did you blatantly ignore Grave Intentions?

How are you doing "millions" of dps with no dmg nodes in tree lmfao

Err, he's grabbed basically every minion damage node in the passive tree you know right?

And grave intentions gets ignored because you wind up with 11 skeletons. With From Dust and Bone Sculptor you summon 5 skeletons at a time -- grabbing grave intentions would result in a 3rd cast giving you 1 skeleton instead of 5, which is dumb and inefficient.

What do folks usually go with for pantheons?
I am currently running this build and I am level 60.

However I am really struggling with the temple incursions. By time I spawn all 8 skeletons my time is almost up and they die pretty quickly, so I find I am just standing spawning skeletons over and over and then times gone.

I am limited on funds, so I was wondering if anyone could give me any advise on what equipment/gem combination is most important to get the incursions doable?
Thank You for the guide Catharsis!
Just got the 2nd Ascendancy and switched to skeletons, and I have to say they are so much fun!
Its easy to play with this build, and the instructions are so well written You simply can't screw this up. Looking forward to improving on this build. KUDOS OP!
